Nooz Optics Armless Reading Glasses - Oval Shape - 6 colors and 5 corrections - Magnifying Readers for Men and Women - Original Collection

I really wanted to like these readers but I'm going to have to return them. Nowadays I have to use readers for all but large print reading. I'm a black American male and my nose is wider than the average caucasian's nose. I think our skin is also oilier than average too. What that all means is that the readers don't stay on my nose well. Since the reader's bridge grips slowly contract as they slip losing their gripping power as they rise up higher and higher until they start to tilt too far forward and fall off. Also because of the design, these are better suited to reading while looking down. Looking at a desk level computer screen requires you to tilt your head back slightly due to the forward/downward lean of the readers, at least that's what happens to me.

So far, so good. I'm in my late 60s and just had cataract surgery in both eyes. I opted for distance vision in both, so now I need reading glasses not only for general reading, but for reading labels, prices, etc. on shelves in stores. Having these armless glasses on a lanyard is great! I can put them on or away quickly when I need to. I got this pair a with a bit less magnification so I can read things a little further away, like on shelves in a store, or sitting at arms length from my computer screen.The case is quite sturdy and should protect the glasses very well. As mentioned above, the case can be used with a lanyard for easy carry and access. The glasses fit securely on my nose and are very comfortable.I deducted one star because these are not offered in .25 increments. I would have preferred a 1.25 set, but I had to get 1.00 or 1.50. I chose 1.00. I will probably get another pair at 3.00 (would prefer 3.25) for general reading.

I owned two pairs of these. Although they look awesome and cool, the thing is that the design is not great. As others have also stated, if you sweat or have an oily complexion, these glasses will quickly slip down the nose, losing grip and falling. Also they are not intended to be used everyday, as the bridge is very weak and sooner than later, it comes off, since is the part from where you have to pull them out of their case. Will not buy them again.

I love(d) my readers! I received many positive comments in inquiries. Sadly, they broke in the middle last week. I've had them over 2 years of regular use, not bad I guess!They stay in place very well and are quite comfortable. You can't be too sweaty or they do slide off...Overall love... time to order another pair.
