As an elementary teacher, II read stories to school kids; they adored the first book and went around singing the "LULU" song for several days after. Some even got their parents to order a personal copy. This one is ok, a little more preachy (good child/bad child). Does not seem so funny or outrageous in Lulu's behavior. They loved the super-bratty Lulu of the first book better. I edited my oral reading by marking out portions of the Brontosaurus book where it got a little repetitious. The Dog walker Lulu doesn't seem to repeat quite so much, which is a plus. I plan to keep using this story. Grades one through possibly grade three should like it. It probably takes two sessions to finish either one of these. It's almost like a pre-chapter book with very short chapters.

It was fun to read.I would consider giving this book to my family to read too.I liked the part when Lulu was tied up and Sherman told her that he wasn't perfect and why.I chose this rating because i felt like it was fit for me and my parents and I enjoyed reading it.

Recipient loved it

I started reading this series to my 2nd graders that I teach with Lulu and the Brontosaurus. They absolutely LOVE Lulu and can't get enough of her. They loved this book and her unusual friendship with Fleishman. I've already received Lulu and the Mysterious Mission to continue the Lulu adventures with my 2nd graders. They were upset to learn that this is the last book in the series .....for now, I hope!

Truly a wonderful read. My son started them in first grade and loved all of them.

I love this book! A must read for beginning chapter book readers.

we love Lulu books

My daughter and I are big, humongous, giant fans of Lulu and the Brontosaurus so of course we had to get Lulu walks to Dogs. We liked it - but not as much as the first book. Lulu is still as precocious as ever and her new sidekick is a entertaining addition.

The main character is rude, mean and generally very unlikeable.

We loved the book and thought it was very funny! We liked the fact that Cordelia always hides and speaks German. We also liked that Pookie jumped up high to bite the jean jacket (6 and 8 year-old review after reding the book)!
