Once it arrived and I set it up with a micro SD card and left it in for a day. The next day I took out the micro SD and put it in my computer and it does indeed record without setting it up with Wi-Fi. It only records when it detects motion so it's easy to find what you are looking for when going through the files. The picture quality does the job. It says it's 720p but honestly looks more similar to 480p. If I purchase again I will buy the 1080p version. The night vision works really want good and you can see just as much detail as in the daytime. Would recommend for small businesses. ### ⭐ Terrible Product *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2019* I simply wanted this to see what was knocking down my bird feeders at night. The instructions are the worst Chinese translation I have read, also inaccurate. The user ID is was not included in the box. I had to read other reviews to figure out how to configure it. After finally getting it to work it wouldn't stay connected to WIFI and would stop recording after 3 hours. Also, flying insects trip the motion sensor.
