Review: Smooooooth!!!!! - I have a disability that makes it difficult to get around. I cant afford any of those special mobility products so I scoot around on an old office chair. Our whole house has tile flooring. and while I use the chair mostly in the kitchen (cooking, etc.)moving around like this gets to be a chore after a while because pulling forward puts a lot of strain on my lower back and knees. Going backward is fine except, well no matter the direction, my legs and back start to hurt terribly and getting over the wide grout joints that I inevitably get stuck in can be impossible without half standing and pulling the chair behind. Then the clunk, clunk, clunk sound and impact sending shockwaves up my spine, cuts short any activity I may be in the middle of. The other thing is the scraping sound of the plastic wheels on the beautiful finish on the glazed tiles leaves me in fear of making a gouge or breaking a wheel and possibly toppling over. OK enough of the back story here. One day on a whim, I did a search on replacement wheels for office chairs. I wasn't counting on getting a hit but when 100's of choices came up I was shocked. My girl-wife(?) wife-friend(?) significant something(?) something partner(?) shook her head and laughed because she knows that once again (like 100s of other times) I will be lost in "research" (web searches), entries in my notebook, head scratching, yammering on to her about the history of the product, asking her opinion, (which is always either "I don't care" or "whatever you decide or makes you happy.") then pulling the plug (hitting the enter key on the order. This is followed by what used to be days of anxiety, that feeling you get after leaving the car dealership with your new car. You did the research, you negotiated, you stood firm, you walked, went back and finally "pulled the plug." Now for hours of signing papers, detailing the car, doing whatever "secret stuff" car dealers do. Then you leave, confident that back at the dealership they're all high fiving, laughing, opening champagne, all because they can't believe they found someone to buy that 4 wheeled lemon. You are positive something is going to break on the drive home. The next few days you show it to your family, friends, coworkers and you're sure that they too are snickering and saying things like how they've "never seen such an ugly vehicle", "isn't that the worst rated vehicle ever?" , "I wouldn't take it for free...." etc. Anyway.......Thanks to desertcart, our wait is now (in my area anyway) only 2 days and many times just one. Here they are. I get the message on my phone that they are delivered and LOOK! Thats them leaning up against the wall next to the front door....MY WHEELS!!! So seriously. The package was absolutely beautiful and upon opening there is some papers describing the product and showing how easy it's going to be to put them on unless it's an Ikea chair. The ONLY chair they dont fit is IKEA. I"m pretty sue that if you bought an IKEA chair, your not the type to switch out the wheels on it. You know it's going to break long before the wheels show even a hint of wear (it may have broke while you were ordering the wheels just knowing too much was going tobe asked from it). so, back to the install I grab 2 sizes of screwdriver and pliers and a small pry bar and a pair of safety glasses. I turn over the chair and figure I'll give a wheel a good pull using just my fierce strength (did I say fierce? I crack myself up with that one) and with a great tug, I slam myself in the chin with the wheel never realizing that "hey..they weren't lying about the easy part. Each leg gave up it wheel freely and the new ones slipped in even easier. I turn the chair over and give it a solid push only to find it careening down the hall stopping only inches from a step down into the Florida room. I was thrilled to note the hardest part was turning over this 5 legged beast (which actually slid/fell the first 2 times then once more to right it. Here we go. First flight. The first thing I find is you better have a good grip on the arms while you slide you posterior onto the beast otherwise it WILL try to run out from under you, Especially on the hard smooth tile floor. Like a seasoned cowboy I gracefully (stop laughing) lower the chair a little and down I go. Hmmm. Despite lowering the chair a bit, I'm still sitting at the same height as previous because the wheels are taller than the original. With a slight push off with right foot I'm gliding back down the hall almost all the to where I started. Now the true test. Pulling forward. First, getting the wheels to turn 180 degrees was a bit clumsy. Notbecause of the wheels but because this is a challenge for any wheeled beastie. The key is not to push directly opposite the direction you were heading, but to perform a somewhat circular motion and all 5 wheels will then be redirected and off you go. Now, the effort required to pull forward is much greater than to puch backward and that is simply a matter of physics and body mechanics. It is however 50% easier than it was with the old wheels. I love them. I'm able to spend 25-50% more time wheeling around than before. It is a much gentler ride over the tiles with the hard rubber type wheels . I'm sure a lot of credit is due the excellent (seem so anyway) bearings in the wheels. No more clunk clunk but now a mostly inaudible passing over the grout lines with minimal jarring of my spine. Another good thing is now I can maneuver over the floor mat in front of the sink where before I had to roll it up because the chair would come to a sudden halt if trying to maneuver over it with the old wheels. Its been just a few days but I love, love, love these wheels. I can once again chase the dog and cat through the house. I hope you enjoyed my review and got a few laughs. Something we don't seem o be doing enough of these days. I truly love the wheels guys. I would not have put forth ANY effort to review them if I wasn't serious about the product. That would mean if I hated them I still would have taken the time to say that. Thanks Stealtho for making a difference and improving my life. With my disabilities, time is precious when everything you do takes so much longer than it does for others. Movement is crucial to staying active however movement equals pain so anything that helps with movement, lessens pain and or gives more time in your day is a blessing. Tony C
Review: Super Smooth Rolling Action on Fancy Hardwood Floor (Updated 2023-03-23) - UPDATE 03-23-2023 STEALTHO has a new design. I've been using a set of wheels with the new design since early January 2023 and they are performing flawlessly. I use this chair for many hours a day and there is no sign of any "angle" change in the stem. I think we have a winner again! Here's what STEALTHO told me: "We changed the manufacturer and improved the quality of our product. Now the wheels are made of Japanese steel. They have been tested and received the SGS quality certificate for withstanding 100,000 rolling without obstacles." If anything changes, I'll post another update. Original Review 05-2020: I put these on one of those high-end Herman Miller Aeron office chairs that I brought home during the Covid-19 pandemic, work-from-home situation. The original H-M-A wheels would have eventually chewed-up my hardwood floor finish. These wheels are fantastic. Not only are they safe on my floor finish but they are super-silent rollers too. They are so smooth rolling that if I do a hard push-off from my desk I'd roll 20 feet like I was on ice. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR CHAIR/WHEEL STEM TYPE! I have another H-M-A chair that I was about to buy wheels for and then realized that the chair's original wheels have a hole for the stem and not the stem on the wheel like these STEALTHO wheels have. 18 months later: The wheels have performed well with no issues at all. I just ordered another set for another chair that will also be used on fancy hardwood floors :-). ~24 months later: Well... I'm starting to see that that the oldest wheel set from 2020 as well as the 2nd set for my other chair bought less than a year ago are now all exhibiting the same issue where the stem bearing is developing a "tilt" causing the wheels to not easily vertically rotate while sitting in the chair. This is a bummer since it forces me to work at rolling the chair around on the floor because the wheels want to keep tracking due to the small vertical off-angle all of the wheels have developed. I really miss the perfect way they worked in earlier months. It's all due to the bearing under the stem hat. It just gets looser over time letting the "angle" to develop :-(.

## Features

- Pull One Caster Out and Measure the Post: You need a 7/16 x 7/8 inch stem, the size Herman Miller Aeron and Mirra 2, Steelcase Leap, Secretlab, DXRacer and Staples Hyken all use. IKEA runs a 10 mm post and will not take these
- Your Floor Stops Taking the Damage: Soft polyurethane rolls across hardwood, tile, vinyl and laminate without scratching or leaving marks, so the plastic chair mat can go. Low-pile carpet under 1/4 inch works too. Shag and plush rugs will still drag
- No More Clunk Over Every Floor Seam: ABEC-9 bearings run sealed against dust, hair and pet fur, quiet enough that nobody downstairs hears you move
- Nothing in Here Can Work Loose: The bearing cage is one piece with no set screw, so there is no bolt to check and nothing to retighten a year from now. The body is forged Japanese steel, not stamped sheet. 650 lb across the set, 100,000 cycles on an SGS test
- Know How High You Will Sit: Each caster stands 3 1/2 inches from the floor to the top of the collar. Measure the same on the one you pulled out and the gap is how much higher you land. Most stock casters run about 2 1/2 inches

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can anyone confirm if these fit SecretLab chairs? I can't find stem sizing, and their support couldn't answer.**
A: STEALTHO wheels Standard Stem 7/16" fit SecretLab chairs. We have customers who use our wheels for SecretLab chairs. If you have this chair at home, you can pull out the wheel, and measure the diameter of the stem. If you need any assistance of our customer support to do this, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@stealtho.store. Thank you! Have a great day!

**Q: Does hair stick to these wheels? I've got dogs that shed a lot.**
A: No hair doesn’t stick to these wheels, I have two golden retrievers, they work great!

**Q: I have a rubber or plastic strip between carpet and floor. This seems to be breaking other wheels/chairs. Will this go over that without breaking?**
A: Wheels roll over obstacles such as thresholds and cables. It all depends on the height of your rubber or plastic strip and its shape.

**Q: The original commercial for these showed locks on them in case you did not want the chair to roll. Do these have locks?**
A: This set does not have locks. I wasn't paying attention when I bought them, but it doesn't matter to me as I didn't want to lock them anyway. I use it on my chair at work and they stay put. I find that they're a bit smoother than the regular wheels that came with my chair, but not to the point of how they're described in the video. I hope this helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super Smooth Rolling Action on Fancy Hardwood Floor (Updated 2023-03-23)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Wheels, Great with Staples Hyken Chair
*by D***G on February 22, 2026*

I’m on my second set of STEALTHO office wheels, and now I’ve bought a third. That should say a lot. My first set lasted six years. They were still working fine, but after getting a new chair I decided to upgrade instead of moving the old wheels over. The newer version looks improved and has red bearing covers that my original set did not have. When I was younger, I used to skateboard and rollerblade, so seeing that these use ABEC rated bearings was great. You are not taking your office chair to a skate park, but it does say something about the quality and precision of the bearings. In my experience, that durability is real. My original set proved it over six years of daily use on carpet. That means more dust and more torque from the added grip of the carpet. Even after all that, they honestly looked like they could go another five, maybe even ten years. I work from home, so this chair gets heavy use. It is not just sitting in a corner office. I use it for both work and personal time, so these wheels are doing double duty every day. The design is clean and they roll very smoothly. They work excellent with my Staples Hyken chair. No wobble, no strange noise, and no noticeable wear. There are other options out there with more reviews, but when you compare the specs and the price, STEALTHO makes the most sense for me. After six years of solid performance, I had no reason to try anything else. These are the only office wheels I plan to use going forward.
