OWB Holster for Streamlight TLR-1 - Stealth Black USA (Right-Hand, for Glock 19,23,32 - Gen 3 & 4 Compatible)

As a career law enforcement officer, I have carried a weapon for over thirty years. I have always been partial to a DeSantis (and still am). This holster is the first one that equals the security and comfort of my beloved DeSantis, and unlike the DeSantis, can accommodate both an RMA site and light for my Glock 17 and 23. In fact, I purchased the holster for my Glock 23 and it will also accommodate my Glock 17.

This is my first OWN LUX holster and it looked like a good value. First, the company was excellent to deal with. The reason I know this is because the first holster was an extremely tight fit around the light. According to the manufacturer, the light is where most/all the retention comes from. I contacted Outlaw and they asked for a few photos. I sent, they asked for a couple more, I sent and they sent new holster and RMA. Second holster arrived and it was even tighter around the light, frame, etc.. So much so I never fully installed. 0/2 so I pulled out the heat gun and it was surprisingly easy for me to heat and mold the Kyle’s to better fit the gun/light. If you’re not a DIY person and/or don’t have a heat gun, this reviewer is o/2 on fit. Other than that the style is great for me, subtle but evident. The fit, well, it’s my first and my extra padding around the waste makes an OWB, belt mounted holster slightly more challenging to learn to use properly, but I’m trying. Hope this helps. Got it for my Glock 19 with TLR-1. Snaps right in and has good retention. Wide enough for comfort and holds well on the body. Can adjust belt loop height/position as well and the loops are thick/durable plastic. The flag design is nice on the outside, it’s subtle and not flashy.

This holster is not very easy to use. When holstering the gun, you will need a lot of force to insert the gun. I first thought this holster was not made for streamlight TlrHL, it was made for a different light. When pull the gun out of the holster, you will need double the amount of force. Which worries me that I won’t be able to draw my weapon when SHTF. The good thing is that this holster has a Very Strong retention.

So I just got the jokester in the mail today. I put my glock 19 gen 5 in the holester. It made a latch sound. I turned it upside down and the gun was still in the holester. Never moved one bit. I was on the edge about this purchase. The reason I gave it four stars is because I wish the American flag design stuck out a little more. At first I did not notice the design and I was a little upset. But taking a look at it you can see it. Just not has well has it’s shown in the pictures.

Great Holster but i sent mine back it Does not work with Streamlight TLR-1 CLONE Lights such as the black scout survival weapon light. The holster itself is great but when used with that weapon light it will have zero and i mean ZERO retention making it dangerous but again....not the holsters fault.

It was at my house the Next day. High quality holster for the cost
