Who Doesn't Like A Chia Pet! Meet ChEllie.
Who doesn't remember or like a Chia Pet. I was actually looking for Chia seeds for adding to smoothies or baking. What popped up was the Chia Pets! I could not resist! The elephant just was too cute! Received it fast with Prime shipping! I remember getting one for my son many years ago! What fun watching the rapid sprouting seeds grow! Now the clay figures are made in China not Mexico as before. I gave our pet a name ChEllie since she is a Chia and an elephant. This is still a great little fun item for the kid in all of us! It comes with a plastic tray that the pet sits in to collect the water. You have seeds for several sproutings. After soaking the clay pet the seeds gel up and it is easy to spread them on the ridges of the clay figurine. ChEllie with all her sprouts made me smile! If it brings a smile it is well worth it!

In spite of following directions meticulously, I haven't ever been able to get my "Chiaphant" to look like it does in the photos... the chia grows out long and spindly (like most sprouts will), and so it looks more like a Chia Porcupine with little green tips, rather than a thick green hedge.
