Some reviewers complained they looked cheap and I didn’t think so at all, and I’m pretty fussy about things looking nice. They were a good size, bigger than what I have, so I won’t have to refill them so often. They have a very clean modern look, which it what attracted me to them. Well made, no scratches anywhere. Some complained about the top being plastic and cheapening the look but even though it’s plastic on the top, it’s well molded and matches the bottom color, looks fine. The silver is stainless steel so it won’t rust on me as some shakers do after a while. I wish the holes were slightly smaller, the salt comes out a little much, but then I’m not a salt person. Shaking sideways will remedy that. Color was better and brighter than the photo. I bought the lime green and they look a little faded on photo and WAY better in person. I’ve gone through about ½ of the bottles and they’ve been working great! Reading the 1-star reviews, the biggest complaints I saw was color/texture mismatch, too much coming out, the lid falling off and it not being dishwasher safe. I got the black and white bottles. Color is matched, but texture is slightly mismatched. The lid is more matte and the body is more glossy. Noticeable if you’re looking for it, but no biggie. The salt comes out significantly faster, but still comes out just fine. If anything I would just want the pepper to come out faster. Like I said, I’ve been using them almost daily for 2 weeks. I just checked for the first time and the lids are still on tight. No biggie to hand wash these. I won’t be putting them in the dishwasher, just to be safe. These look good and work good 5 out of 5 all around.
