Good quality components

I like the big gauge, but I wish it had the compressor controls built into the gauge.

Cheap parts

Compressor it’s self is fine. Gauge is garbage. Aired up the first time to check for leaks and the gauge won’t go below 40 psi even if there is zero pressure. Air lines are trash too

Maybe buy a thicker power wire for this.

I would have given it 5 stars but I was disappointed with the wire quality. The power wire for the compressor isn’t even 12 or 14 gauge. It looks like 16or18 gauge. Other than that, seems like a solid compressor and the gauge is a Viair which is a great brand.

Save yourself lost time and money. Buy a different brand

I am an ASE Master and Advanced level certified technician of 22 years. I am in charge of a fleet. I will never buy buy Touring tech Brand again. This is the 2nd touring tech pump system I have bought in the last 2 years that is inoperative. The first was bought on Ebay. The first pump pumped up to 50 psi once and then the check valve stopped functioning in the air line built into the pump and the gauge got stuck on 20 psi. This 2nd one purchased from Amazon pumps up sometimes and sometimes not, the check valve gets stuck and will not allow air to flow into the air bags. After the first use of the system, the pressure gauge sticks around 10-15 psi, it slowly tries to return to zero if you tap on the bracket with your finger. The seller does not pay for return shipping so I recommend staying away from Active distribution and Touring Tech all together. At this point I could have bought a known brand and saved money. These guys are a total rip off.Yes, I could purchase a different brand of check valve and air pressure gauge and these pumps would work again, but I bought this brand because it was a complete system. Save time and money and go with a name brand and a company that is easy to deal with.

So far....

Instructions at best are poorly written and frustrating to where I had to read several times (these could be written intuitively with little effort). Parts kits could be assembled to a point where half could be ready to plug in (yes, the half that connects to their compressor) - but I'm sure they are doing everything to reduce their cost and maximize return. It is a disappointment so far and I have yet to turn it on. I will have follow up comments.Following through, I've installed the compressor. Not how the instructions stated but a safe alternative. The compressor provides more than adequate pressure to inflate the air bags and no leaks found. As a secondary check, I left the bags at 25lbs last night and checked them this morn.....at 25lbs. I suspect the compressor in conjunction with the AIR LIFT 5000 air bags will work fine. So, lets continue with what I had initially posted. What bothered me the most was that the verbiage and sentence structure of the instructions made the directions less intuitive and somewhat confusing. They were not worthless, but could have been MUCH better. In fact, it is stated in the instructions to look at the diagram for reference. Well even Amazon knows that pictures are helpful because at the top of this "Write a Review", it leaves a space for photos and says "Shoppers find images and videos more helpful than text alone". THERE WERE NO PICTURES, DIAGRAMS OR PHOTOS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. How does one make a mistake like that? I will also add that it was mentioned in one of three locations where a picture could have been helpful. Next, there was no contact info (email address, phone #, address, etc.) in the documentation. There are no Youtube videos by the company to facilitate assembly. Thats definitely not something I think is a requirement, but it would have made the evolution much more understandable where the instruction pages failed to describe the assembly adequately. Finally, there was not enough air hose. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic - not a huge truck by any stretch, but had to purchase the only roll I could get on short notice (25ft) for just under $5. Given that it is so inexpensive, I would have thought the compressor kit would come with "a little extra" to ensure assembly for all size trucks.About 20 years ago I put the same type of air bag system on a 1500 Silverado (airlift bags and compressor) - I can tell you it was a breeze. The extra benjamin(s) to purchase the AIR LIFT compressor would have been worth the frustration, trip to the store, and additional time it took to install. Bottom line....would I buy it again? At this moment, refer to my comments two sentences up. Otherwise, time will tell if the compressor is reliable. Good luck.
