A very nice kettle
It is a fairly expensive kettle but it looks great in the kitchen. Funny enough I have always wanted one of their toaster, guess that's next. Works well and is without doubt quality.

Wonderful
Finally a kettle that doesnt drip or over pour. Cannot believe how perfect the pouring design is. Every other kettle I have owned I have had to wipe worktop after filling mugs but not with this one. It is also the quietest kettle I have ever had, can hold a conversation across the room whilst its boiling. I have no problem seeing how much water is in through the viewing window which other reviewers have mentioned. A solid kettle with a good solid base that isnt such light plastic that it skitters on worktop when you remove the kettle from base. Friends exact same kettle is 7 yrs old and still going strong, can only hope mine lasts as long!

Bit noisy
Good quality kettle but noisy compared to my last one. Easy to use with handy water level gauge

Wouldnt Buy Any Other Brand
Our previous Dualit Jug kettle lasted 9 years but gave up the ghost. I looked to get a “cheap” kettle and reviewed nearly every kettle on Amazon. Ive went full circle and decided to pay for quality. It has a speedy rapid boil feature which is great as I only use it for making my tea, hubby has his Jura coffee machine. It looks the part too, shiny chrome and a nice modern looking kettle accented with black. BPA free dual windows with measurement markers make it clear to see your fill levels. I hope this kettle lasts me another decade. Matches my Dualit chrome toaster which has lasted years too. Its designed and engineered in Britain. Just love this British brand.

A replacement for an old Dualit jug kettle. Which was then itself replaced!
Our 4-year-old Dualit Jug Kettle had started to misbehave - switching itself off after a few seconds, for example. So time to get a new kettle. After searching the market, I chose...another Dualit Jug Kettle! It seems there have been some subtle changes - for the better. The switch which was giving us the trouble now feels much more positive in its action. The base which was previously black, now has a smart chrome face. The lid has a smoother open/close action - although this is of course was adjustable anyway. Even the red 'on' light seems slightly bigger and brighter. Kettle noise and boiling time seem much as before. Which is to say - perfectly acceptable. If it lasts at least as long as its predecessor, I shall consider it very good value. UPDATE Well, it didn’t last as long! The replacement would occasionally FAIL to switch off and none of the possible suggested causes seem to apply. So the replacement was itself replaced in May. So far the replacement’s replacement has performed perfectly. Hopefully this is a quality control problem effecting a small number of these kettles that Dualit are resolving.

It's exactly what we wanted
It's an electric kettle thats really overpriced. However it performs as expected. We bought it with the matching 4 slice toaster so it looks glamorous in our kitchen. Both get used everyday.

Solid kettle but lid is very tight.
Having had a number of kettles that tended to last 12-18 months before something breaking off, we thought we'd go for something a bit more solid. Dualit have a good reputation so even though this is pretty much twice the price of any other kettle of a similar size, we thought we'd go for it. Good bits 1 - solid build, switch feels like it should last a long time (nearly every other kettle we'd had has a flimsy plastic thing that breaks off and renders the whole thing inoperable). Good bits 2 - pours nicely, doesn't dump boiling water everywhere. (I know that should be a minimal ask in a kettle but we've had others that don't even manage that). Bad bits 1 - cable is VERY short, a lot shorter than any other kettle we've had. That resulted in having to move toasters and microwaves around a bit to accommodate the kettle. Bad bits 2 - lid is VERY tight. Unlike other kettles, there's no push button to flip the lid open (no bad thing 'cos that's something else that's usually made out of plasticine which falls apart after 12 months). However, the lid itself is very (very!) tight fitting. It takes a good amount of effort to open it - if you have arthritis I would look elsewhere.

Easy to use , quick boil
Simple to operate , great capacity, quick boil, water filter added in pouring nozzle. Quick pour easy to use without spilling hot water when boiling water at the time of pouring if your in a hurry. Expensive but worth it as with any Duallit product!
