I had to clear water from the rain gutter. The hardware store sold me a shaker siphon pump that was supposed to make things easy. Unfortunately, the shaker siphon pump would not move the water no matter how hard I would shake it. I guess there wasn't enough volume of water for the shaker siphon pump? The Luigi's siphon pump cost me less than half of what I paid for the shaker siphon pump. It worked as soon as I started pump the device. It is quite a workout for your hand but it gets the job done quick.

No directions included but not hard to figure out. Simple, inexpensive, does the job. I wish the delivery tube was longer, this product limits what you can transfer liquid from/to because of the length of the tubing. Good for siphoning gas out of lawn mowers and small power equipment but not for pulling gas from automobiles or anything else big

I needed a siphon pump to drain water from a fountain to store it for the winter. The pump worked as expected and completed the job. I don't anticipate needing it again for a year so it won't get much use. So my one-time use was good.

Really bad product. First time I used it about 1/2 way through a 5 gal gas can, the valve kept sticking open so you could not get the pump to suck the gas up. Also, the hose is not long enough to use to pump gas into a car. I had to get a step ladder to bring in close enough.

This siphon will not work for many things because the siphon hose is so short. It will not reach the bottom of my 5-gallon kerosene cans for example.

Basic but effective. Bought it to replace the one that came with my Water Rower (I lost it), and it seems more or less identical. It let me empty the rower tank and refill it with fresh water. Just like the original pump for the Water Rower, it's a little awkward to do due to the location of the tank fill port, but it gets the job done.

I bought this pump to empty my dog's kiddie pool every few days so it doesn't become a mosquito breeding ground. I'm lucky there's a downspout drain right next to his pool, so I leave the “output” end of the pump in the drain, and it works great. I did slip on about two feet of vinyl tubing from the hardware store to the "exhaust" side so it's comfortably below than where the water goes in, and the siphoning effect is strong. The extra tubing might not be needed if the drain opening were at ground level. When I need to drain the pool, I prime the pump with the squeeze part, and once it gets started, I just leave it alone for a few minutes and the pool is empty when I come back. At worst, maybe I have to dislodge a leaf and let it continue. Before I found this, I had to spill the pool far from a drain or bail out some water with a bucket and then drag it across the sidewalk. No fun. I'd found this pump at a hardware store a couple of years ago, and when it gave out recently (It lasted longer than I expected, given that it's out in the sun all summer.), I ordered a replacement on Amazon. I'd tried a couple of other handpumps - one with a bulb that didn't work well and another that is supposed to start siphoning when you shake it, which also didn't work well. I'm really glad to have found this and will definitely buy it again in a couple of years when the weather gets to it. I've probably used it at least a hundred times. It takes a little effort to prime the pump the very first time, maybe because I have the extension tubing, but after that it just takes a few squeezes to start it running. For what it's worth, I don't ever use the knob on the top. I think it stays in the "on" position, but maybe it's useful to clear out fluids like gasoline that you don't want to leave undrained, I don't know.

Es un utensilio sencillo pero que funciona realmente bien, muy cómodo de usar y de limpiar. Lo he utilizado para rellenar motosierros, para rellenar una caja de cambios manual, para rellenar de gasolina una desbrozadora y a verdad se hace rápido y sin desperdiciar nada. Lo recomiendo

I bought this siphon to drain fuel from garden machinery to prepare for Winter. I used it for the first time today to drain petrol from a ride-on mower. it couldn't have been easier to use - put the stiff plastic tube in the fuel tank and the flexible tube in a suitable container, squeeze the bulb and you're away. The flexible tube is long enough to reach the fuel container I put on the ground next to the mower, so I had both hands free for the siphon. I didn't time it, but it only seemed to take about 10 squeezes of the bulb to get a litre or so out of the tank. Plenty fast enough for me. Provided it lasts, I can't think of any negatives. In summary, a simple, easy-to-use, effective and cheap product that I'm happy to recommend.

Muy fácil de usar. La compré para drenar el depósito de gasolina y aditivo de mi motosierra. Sólo falta ver la durabilidad de los materiales. No soy leñador y mucho menos de tiempo completo. Por eso espero que me dure mucho tiempo.
