AUD-2350 VGA to S-Video or RCA Adapter

Before you even think of buying this product make sure your computer has TV-OUT Capability. This is dependent upon your computer graphics card. You cannot simply connect the wire to go from VGA to Composite or S-Video or vice-versa and expect it to work. I bought this cable so that i could connect my second laptop to my television, it did not work, no worries, my first laptop has S-video out so i use a different cable to connect my first laptop to my television. That serves my purpose. I felt bad that this did not work, luckily one of my friends was looking for this cable and he happens to have TV-out on his laptop, so he was happy to have it, it works perfectly on his laptop. So i have no complaints about the seller. I cannot take credit away from the seller, I should have done my home work right before buying this product. The product arrived on time, packaged in a bubble envelope, no complaints there either.

It's a cable, plain and simple, if your video card doesn't support NTSC out, it WILL NOT WORK. If that is the case, you are looking at the wrong product, you need a converter box, not an adapter. If that is not the case, then this simple cable will work, no problems.

Don't buy if you want to play your old Super Nintendo on a monitor. It does NOT work. I found out the hard way that you need to convert the signal if that's what you want. So this is literally sitting in my drawer. I believe the only reason you would get something like this is if you wanted to use your computer with a tv that didn't have vga...so it's not reverse compatible...I don't even know if it would work for that for I haven't tried it out because I don't have a tv with s-video or component anymore. But I guess find out from the other reviews it that's what you intend to use it for. But it doesn't work if you wanna watch something with component/s-video on a vga monitor. I feel bad for rating this as a 1 star but they should have explained what specifically it was for. Also shipping was pretty decent, arrived on time. After purchasing this item, I was excited to see if I can prompt another connection between my dvd and my television since the composite cord was so beat up. and others made the picture duller. I also really wanted to see if I can find a way to connect my laptop to the television without a converter box. Sad to say, till this day I still have no idea how to connect it with anything and it had no instruction manual for it. Luckily I purchased another cord that connected S-video and RCA without the VGA and it worked perfectly for the television. The colors came out clearer and brighter. And after finding a ridiculously cheap converter box that same cord showed the pictures on my laptop really well. I'm determine to find a purpose for this connector piece... it just hasn't happen yet.

On December 13th, 2010 I purchased some cables, one of which was a Cables Unlimited AUD-2350 VGA to S-Video or RCA Adapter Cable for $5.57. It took me a minute to remember what I might have used this cable for but then I remembered that I purchased it for a one of the TV’s / monitors I repaired (when that was my hobby). One of the first units I repaired was a monitor and this was the exact cable I needed for a S-Video configuration. I recall being quite pleased with it’s performance. I like to collect cables because you never know what and when you’re going to need something. My wife however does not like collecting cords, as a matter of fact my wife isn’t really much into collecting anything. I’m sure this is one I have in my knotted bucket of cables. I bought this VGA to S-Video or RCA composite adapter so that I can connect my computer to my TV through the VGA to composite video output. It works great for older TVs that do not have VGA or HDMI inputs. Just make sure that your computer graphics support TV-Out technology or it will not work.

I was excited when i got this item and it works just but what i intended to use it for did not!!(the Wii isnt VGA Compatible, Who knew) Anywho i got the item fast and in good condition recommened seller!!

Used this product for linking our DVR survelance camera system to a TV. Still working to this day without any issues. Good product and would purchase again if needed.
