KHC09 OE Transmission Clutch Kit

Install Is SIMPLE remove subframe, disconnect everything connected to the transmission, jack up engine, unbolt transmission and remove, remove old clutch (which had a broken spring on the friction disc causing it not to release), install new one on a resurfaced flywheel, reinstall. Just kidding, these jobs require a lot of work and experience.But anyways, the clutch feels oem engagement is very soft and holds the 02 civic si' measly 160hp like a child with his favorite toy. I did not use the throwout bearing or pilot bearing that is included with the kit and opted to go for oem Honda parts since they werent too expensive. Plastic disc alignment tool is useful and makes life a lot easier. Clutch friction disc and pressure plate I believe are made by daiken. Could be wrong. Daiken makes the factory Honda part, so essentially its the same clutch with different levels of quality control.Oh and it comes with some SICK Exedy stickers that you should put all over your car. The instructions set I had was in japanese but had some pretty descriptive pictures in the form of a cartoon. Basically shows what to do and what not to do with a smilie face or frown face.Bottom line is that this is a great choice over the factory clutch pressure plate and friction disc for the price. OEM is 277 (employee price) this is 130 at the moment.

Not sure why people are buying this clutch for the RSX type S, for that car you need the KHC10. Works fine for the base model RSX and Civic Si(SiR in Canada). Installed it today on my Civic SiR and it fits fine. Seems to be as good as oem quality and was suprised to see they even include a pilot bushing, not something i've seen included with a clutch kit before.Amazon, you need to update your selections, it also says that the KHC10 is compatible with Civic Si and RSX base model. This will not fit, and create a lot of confusions when ordering, please update your info as I almost bought the wrong clutch.

I recently purchased an EXEDY KHC09 OEM Replacement Clutch Kit for my 2004 acura rsx type-s to find out the pressure plate is not made for this car. Before I ordered this clutch kit, I check the application and it stated "This product fits your 2004 Acura RSX". I did not read the reviews and I later found out the bad news. My mechanic said reusing my original pressure plate is not a good idea because everything is out and should be replace with a new part. He would have to order the right pressure plate from the Acura dealership, or pay $50 storage fee for bring in the wrong part until i get the right part, or close it with my original pressure plate with no guarantees or warranty.As a starving college student, I had to pay $600+ for labor on a new clutch and old pressure plate, which is not what I wanted. I need to contact amazon so they can correct this problem, so no one else has to go through this stress and headache.

gave this to my mechanic to put in my 2002 civic si and there were not complaints about missing pieces or incorrect pieces. the clutch feels great takes a little getting used to for the first 100 miles or so but that is probably just because my old clutch needed replacing.

Stay away from this item. I have an 02 Civic SI and needed a new clutch. Cross referenced the part # with the one on Exedy's website and everything was correct. However when I was installing my new clutch to my demise I found out that the new pressure plate was the incorrect one. It's about %10 bigger than the original and the holes for the flywheel pins do not line up. This can cause major problems, especially if your pressure plate is bad. Ended up using the old pressure plate. Amazon did gave me a full refund, no fuss. I would not recommend this product. Hoping nothing goes wrong again...it's always good to have a new pressure plate with a new clutch.

So far so good. Switching out the clutch in a 2002 Acura RSX base model 5 speed is crazy. Have to take out the front sub frame/chassis but once youre there its easy peasy. Hard work paid off and now im driving my car again. Price for this kit is great and it feels nice and smooth. Now lets see how long it will last.

I got this clutch set to replace the worn out one in my 2004 Honda Civic SI. This was clutch set is what Honda put in at the factory and it works great. It fit perfectly and drives like a champ again.
