Great discography! *by E***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2013* I have always been a late bloomer and it wasn't until season 4 debuted with the first season that I became a fan of Ms. Ru and her drag stars. It was the Sharon Needles promo that started 3 ir 4 months prior to the first episode that caught my attention. My first thought was that this could possibly be the winner not knowing anything about the first 3 seasons.So during the entire season, my neighbor and I would log in to Logo on my PC and watch the current episode that aired on LogoTv the night before for those enthusiast that could afford cable. Watching competitors get put to the test by RuPaul's creative and quirky mini challenges and weekly challenge with catwalk fashion at the end of each show was very entertaining and I am not one for reality tv shows. I have my own little reality right here, day to day and don't need anyone else's. But I found the time for this one.I remember watching the very episode of Donahue when he had the club kids on as guests of the show with the budding RuPaul included and I have to tell you, Ms. Lady has come a long way and with such style and grace. Her sense of humor and wit have sharpened over the years and her male counterpart is just as savvy and fashion forward. His business sense and tenacity in creating this genre' of entertainment not only for the LGBT community for the entire world to enjoy, laugh, sing, cry. Its all good and this collection of works from Ms. RuPaul carries over many years of growing and maturing. All these numbers have a nice beat because She brings the beat. And it covers this Cover Girl from head to toe from The Beginning to becoming a Champion. But undoubtedly my handsdown favorite is Glamazon which features Season 4 final three in the newly released music video of the same name. Yes, maam, go on a git dat muny Ms. Lady. On first listen it sounds like a dance/pop/semi-techno cd. Upon furthur listening, it comes out as so much more. 1. The Beginning- Very accurate title. It sets the mood for the album. Very catchy and upbeat. Remindes me of " Main Event" from RU's CHAMPION cd. 2. Click -Clack ( Make Dat Money )- At first listening, HATED IT ( except for the sample of the song " Nasty " from Ru's 2nd cd FOXY LADY ). After Another go through, I liked it. very much like FERGIES " CLumsy ". Stylish and fun. 3. Glamazon- Title of the cd. Woman empowering track. Has a great, catchy hook. One of the best on this cd! 4. I Bring the Beat- Worst song on this whole cd. Just not catchy. Lyrics are dull, but beat is good. Would be better with total different lyrics. Feels cheap. 5. Superstar- GREAT SONG! Not mush more I can say. Love it! 6. Responsitrannity- What a mouthful, Lol!. Great dance track. It does sound kinda from the 80's. I love nostalgia! Bring It! 7. Live forever- Way familier beat. Not bad though. Another good dance track. The message remindes me of ALPHAVILLS " FOREVER YOUNG ". 8. Get Your Rebal On- OMG!!! Sounds like a gay anthem ( YAY ). Ru's had many songs touching gay rights, but this could really be a anthem for anyone who has felt repressed who feels it's time to stand up. P!NK and LADY GAGA would love this song, as do I. 9. ( Here it Comes ) Around Again- Sounds like a filler song. Its ok, but not BAM! 10. If I Dream- Another empowering song, like " GET YOUR REBEL ON ". Sounds a little amaturish, but as the last song on the album, leaves you with a pleasent tingeling through you body. All in all a very good album. Def worth the money.
