They are already converting sugar water to kefir. This comes well packaged and with very detailed, helpful instructions.My only slight concern with the instructions is that I have some older grains that stopped reproducing and started breaking down into tiny pieces. I gleaned from some research that the 1TBSP molasses recommended here might be over-mineralizing the grains? I reduced it to 1/2 tsp and, while they still don't reproduce much, they are healthy and make good kefir.
