Awesome kite!!
Never big on leaving reviews. After using the 4D I really want to impress upon you how great this kite is. I also own a prism nexus (also a great kite!) but we don't get high winds to often in central Indiana so I hardly got to fly it. I bought the 4D here on amazon and even in a light wind it stays up beautifully. It is almost magical how this kite flies. You can do stunts with no wind in your back! I would recommend putting it together inside for the first time. The knot you need is easy to make but easier to do indoors the first time. Not only is this kite fun to fly but extremely durable. You can bend the rods in an "o" shape and they won't break. If you like to fly stunt kites and are looking for a low wind kite, you can't do better than the 0mph rated nexus 4D!

OLD GUY
I purchased a Quantum & Snapshot 1.9 last year. I have really enjoyed both in at leasta 10 mph wind at the beach. Problem is I only get down there 3-4 times a year. So whenI started reading reviews & looking at videos about the 4D I thought why not give it atry. I live about 40 miles west of Atlanta, Ga. Needless to say we don't get a lot ofsteady wind around here. To me this kite is like a small version of my Quantum onlyabout five times faster. Flys very easily in about a 2 mph wind, very fast at about5-10 mph. Have crashed a few times, no harm done, seems to be pretty durable. The 50'lines really give you quick response. Would highly recommend this kite.

Flies nice but Fragile
This kite flies very well in the lightest wind, got me spend more time outside without waiting for decent wind. It also gave me very smooth flying experiences. I'm quite impressed. In the other hand, I have several complaints about the quality of making. One wing tip had been broken in the first place, one leading edge ferrule was broken by the crash(in the wind speed of about 10m/h).I asked the seller to get me the new wingtip, they just didn't. I complained about that to Amazon, they told me I have to return the item to solve the dispute, and the shipping fee would be my charge. For I'm living in Asia, It's not a good idea either to return or to buy the small parts spending much more money for shipping fee, I decided to fix it by myself. If you living in a country far from U.S, consider this before you decide to buy.

Great stunt kite for light wind
This is a great kite to have if the wind is flukey. You can get it in the air by backing up and a tiny breeze will sustain you doing tricks. Very agile and responsive. Nice carrying case too.The nose fabric wore through kind of quick on the beach, though.

Very impressed
Often a manufacture's claim about a product are somewhat less than actualized in the real world. But, not this time. I've had this kite for a little over a week. And, each time I have flown it it was because there was not enough wind for whatever other kite I was trying to fly. I have a wind meter. The first time I flew it (after one of my other ones couldn't stay in the air), I was able to keep it in the air basically as long as I desired. And, when I bought it down I grabbed my wind meter which hangs from my neck. Sure as shooting, my Kestrel wind meter indicated 0 mph wind.I'm not wealthy. So, I would think that you would want some skill & experience before going out with a kite like this. Because, due to it's inherit light weight design, and it's $100 price tag, if you're prone to nose in or any other kind of less than graceful landing, I personally would feel more comfortable tearing up a couple of $12-$20 drugstore specials rather than this really nice rig.

My Favorite Stunt Kite
I own several stunt kites, and the 4D has become the one that use most often. When the wind is too much for it, I fly a different stunt kite, and I miss the 4D. It is just so much fun to fly. I like to use surveyor's flagging ribbon as a skywriting tail with this kite. It works really well. I like this kite so much that I gave one to a family member as a gift, and he loves it too.

Fun and Fragile
I flew this kite about two times before the spine broke through the nose and I had to send it back to Prism. I'm by no means an expert flyer and if I were I'm sure I would have been gentler, just beware that ultralight kites are fragile by their nature. If you're a beginner I would definitely get something heavier. To Prisms credit they repaired and shipped it back to me for free.
