Formula One Williams Aqua Velva Aftershave Lotion 100 ml

Good old brand smells good too and lasts a few hours

Bought this aftershave after researching good aftershave (that women like the smell of) - it certainly does the job, great smell and value.

Great for immediately post shave

I’ve been collecting classic aftershaves and having found most of the best UK ones, decided to get hold of some US and European ones (Aqua Velva, English Leather, Proraso, Stetson and so on). This version of Aqua Velva is the European version (made by Unilever under the “Williams” brand) and although the scent is quite similar to the US version, it is not exactly the same. Just to be clear, this product has nothing to do with the Williams Formula One team in spite of the references in the listing (very bizarre!). Having bought a bottle of the US version when I was in New York City (manufactured by Combe International), I would say that the European version is a bit more subtle in its scent whereas the US one has more of a punch when first applied. As with other aftershaves Aqua Velva is intended to cool and refresh the face and neck after shaving and in my experience it is successful in doing this. And similar to other aftershaves (as opposed to colognes or eau de toilettes) the scent is not really long lasting with it mostly vanishing after about an hour. Although I don’t have any childhood or teenage memories of this particular aftershave (unlike some of the other classics), I do quite like it. It isn’t the most complex of scents but it is fresh and cooling and came at a reasonable price (although that does fluctuate somewhat).

Nice aftershave at realistic price

i use this more during the summer months as it is a light and refreshing fragrance. it lasts a few hours on the skin but at the very moderate price you can afford to refresh and splash out !

Nothing impressive! It is ok after shaving and shower in the evening.

I love this product. You can keep your fancy overpriced aftershaves as far as I am concerned. Great smell and very refreshing. You can't beat Aqua Velva in my book.
