Halo Salmon Small Breed Dry Dog Food, 4-Pound Bag

Our little Chihuahua/Pug has been on this for over a year now and she has lost about a pound or two. (Her back legs due to arthritis are useless to her these days so losing weight is really hard for her) She was close to 7.9lbs and now she's like 6.1 or so. She loves the taste and eats slower, doesn't need as much can dog food or other stuff to fill her up and she really does go less because of this type of dog food. Usually only once now instead of 2-3 times a day. I understand good ingredients are expensive and our Sweetheart's worth a little extra, it'd just be nice if it were cheaper. She actually seems to like the flavor of this one a touch more than the turkey but maybe it's more to do with the size. These are like little bb's and the turkey is like little flattened bb's. I recently rescued a French bulldog end of December. He has lots of health issues, as rescues will. I started him on Halo, due to his food allergys, and his coat. He was missing patches of hair, was underweight.Fast forward to March, and his coat is shiny, hes put on decent weight and has energy like a puppy!Its amazing what proper nutrition and care can do for a little ten yr old dog. He loves his food! He can digest it properly, and his bald patches are filling in!Thank you Halo, for giving this little dog a new shot at a good life. I really was concerned he might not make it.

I like that the kibble is small bites., my dogs are 5 and 6 lbs. so it's just the right size for them. They really seemed to like it.

My shihtzu-poodle has an endless list of food-related allergies and my Yorkie (who is VERY picky) consumes the same food. Both dogs have had unlimited access to food all day long for their entire 7 years of life. We had to switch to this food due to Petco being out of stock of their food for the foreseeable future. My dogs are OBSESSED with this new food.. to the point where I have to measure out the food, because they won’t stop eating it! I have never experienced my dogs enjoying food this much. Highly recommend if you have a small dog with lots of food allergies!

My chihuahua who is 5LB loves this so much and he is one picky dog !! The size is small and perfect for him to be able to eat without choking .

My 11 year old chihuahua/minpin is doing so good on this food!!! No bloating, itchiness, poop smells and looks so much better. This is all I’ll feed her from now on. Yeah it’s pricey for the small bag but price doesn’t matter as long as she’s healthy and with me longer 💖

We have fed our small dog Halo for about 4 years now and she always loved it. We researched when choosing what would be best to feed her and felt like it was a great choice. We were very happy with it. However, they have changed the formula. It sounded like an improvement and we joked that she would be eating better quality food than we were. Then we opened the first bag of the new formula. She will not eat it. She has never been a picky eater and has always had a good appetite. With this new formula, she smelled of it and you could tell she was hungry and wanted to eat it, but she would walk off every time and would not eat it. In desperation we tried putting some enticing wet food on top, cheese on top, nothing worked. After 2 days of this, we bought a different brand of food which is one we had also considered a good choice before when we were researching foods. She immediately began eating normally and enjoying her food again. I don't know what the problem is, but the new formula does not work for us. I hate that they changed it, but we will not buy it again.
