excellent vegetarian refried beans, add water / oil for better consistency
These are my favorite vegetarian refried beans. Yes, they look depressing straight from the can - stiff, dry, crumbly texture. Do not be dismayed. Empty them out into another container and add several big splashes of water (more than you think), and a couple tablespoons of oil (avocado or olive)... and stir until it becomes a nice creamy consistency, like what's pictured on the label. I also sprinkle in cumin and some combination of spicy taco seasoning (beware those with extra salt), onion, garlic, chili powder, etc. to jazz it up a bit. Delicious. And super easy to just reheat a little during the week for an quick bean burrito whenever you're starving. And then you're actually eating some filling protein, fiber, and nutrients instead of just carbs and cheese, which I am very guilty of doing when I'm in a rush!

A convenient and flavorful addition to any meal
I recently tried the Rosarita canned refried black beans, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by their quality and taste. These beans are incredibly convenient for busy weeknights when I need a quick and easy side dish or ingredient for tacos, burritos, or nachos. The fact that they come already seasoned with just the right amount of spices saves me time in the kitchen without sacrificing flavor. What impressed me the most was the rich and creamy texture of the beans. They're perfectly mashed, with a velvety consistency that pairs well with a variety of dishes. Plus, the black beans add a subtle smokiness and depth of flavor that elevate any meal.I also appreciate that Rosarita uses high-quality ingredients, and the beans are free from any artificial flavors or preservatives. It's comforting to know that I'm serving my family a wholesome and delicious product.Overall, I highly recommend Rosarita canned refried black beans to anyone looking for a convenient and flavorful addition to their pantry. Whether you're a busy parent, a college student on a budget, or simply craving some delicious Mexican-inspired cuisine, these beans are sure to satisfy your cravings. Give them a try – you won't be disappointed!

Even better than refried pinto beans
I like these beans. I grew up eating refried pinto beans, but I have found I like the taste of black beans better. The pinto beans seem bland to me compared to these. I like this brand, and it is usually a good value. They lose 1 star for the amount of salt. Other than that I love them.

As Good As Their Famous Refried Beans
They make great standard refried beans, so it's no surprise that their black beans are also great, versatile and easy to prepare. Sometimes I like to have both on the plate to add variety. I also find that the salt balance is right on. Also, my cans arrived dent free, which is nice.

Dented Cans
The price is great, but the cans were shipped in a bag rather than a box so 1/2 of the cans had a dent. Since dented cans have the potential of bacteria entering the can, I will not buy these from Amazon again.

The best refried beans
I love this refried type of beans I add it to my chili to thicking it up to make flour wraps with it and rice and split peas to it too. Different almost every time I make my chili like using kale and green peppers and red peppers some onions and garlic extra.
