Vinegar and water will do as much as this will. It may not smell as good at first, but this smell doesn't last very long anyway. This bottle is tiny and only will clean your carpet twice. If you spot clean...like I said, vinegar and water will do the same thing for so much less. I am so mad at myself for doing this. I still have a little bit in the bottle but the vinegar works better. It has a very strong smell which made me think it was just masking the dog urine smell. I went through a lot of trouble (several weeks) and the rug still smells like urine especially when it gets humid and the dog will still go to that spot. I now use an RX for my dogs' loose bladder and sometimes dog pants.
