Product Description               Displays an initial rich sweetness with notes of almond and marzipan which are then elegantly balanced by a natural vibrant acidity. Made from 100 percent premium Japanese Nanko ume from a famous ume region called Kishu, this Umeshu is aged for extra years with special care and love. Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume fruit. A perfect balance between ume extract and alcohol is achieved by aging the whole fruit with the stone still inside. The delicious tang of Umeshu comes from citric acid in the fruit and the refreshing flavour stimulates the appetite. Umeshu also contains malic and succinic acids. Taste great and my wife loves it. A touch too sweet, but hey, it is a Choya! As long as my wife likes it, it is great value! Strangely more expensive in UK than Singapore where alcohol is taxed heavily. Hard to find in UK stores. So far only found them in Asian specialty stores and Amazon.
