Worked perfectly easy to use and very durable.

Worked Perfect, No sheared threads
I lubed the bearing and the threads before using the tool and kept the threads lubed.I purchased this to go through a set of heads. I have the heads tore down and saw no issue with the tool.I read some of the reviews about the threads coming off, so I kept an eye out for it. There wasn't a single issue with the threads.Being aluminum, I'm sure there would be an issue if you tried using this on a daily basis, but for what I'm doing, it works fine.If the threads ever do become an issue, I could put some keenserts in there, problem solved.

Game changer
After hours of failed attempts with quick and dirty methods and home made tools I gave up and next day aired this. It is one of those tools that is worth its weight in gold. Didn’t even struggle with upgraded valve springs that are very stiff. Make sure to lube the threads and have a set of tweezers handy

Grate tool
This is one of the greatest tools I have ever used was easy to use works very well help me very much with my rebuild on my Subaru engine. I will recommend this tool to anybody that is doing valve jobs.

Great tool!! It's just missing something
I do use another too for retainer removal but for install this tool Is a time saver!!! I just with it came with a second drive down screw and cup so I could do 2 at the same exact time. Other then that i would have given a 5 star rating.

Cheap but a quality tool. Worked great for my wrx heads.

Not for EJ253 SOHC
Did not fit with camshaft cap on or off over springs on 2006 Impreza 2.5i. Slick too and seems well made if it would have worked.

2JZ is NOT the 2RZ
Purchased this SWEET little tool to help me put the retainers back on my 2000 Tacoma 2RZ engine without removing the head. Maybe 4 existing reviews here had said it also worked on the 2JZ engine, and it sounded almost too good to be true because I have a 2RZ engine, and the reviews made me think it was a 2JZ, and was in such a rush I didn’t get up to check my manual sitting 10 feet from me. It came. It cannot easily be made to work, but I can tell that it is a decent quality tool, if only.

Great tool for the money
Work as an automotive technician for Subaru and having this tool made the job so much easier. Worked well and the quality is great, definitely recommend for the enthusiast or the licensed tech
