This is a wonderful book to use in your kindergarten classroom. You can use it for a measurement activity!!

This is one of my favorite Leo Lionni titles! The artwork is gorgeous, simple, and clear. The book tells the story of an inchworm who manages to escape being eaten with his special ability to measure. This is an engaging read for kids ages 2-6 and a great title to pique STEM interest (measurement as well as insects).

Como todos los de Leo Leonni un diez en ilustración, concepto y texto. Una joya que con cuarto palabras muy armoniosamente dispuestas transmite una pequeña gran idea sin que lo parezca.

Purchased book as a present for my friend's daughter. Came in good time for Christmas and very pleased as was packaged very well and so arrived in good condition as was worried as only a paperback book and could so easily have been ruined in the post, especially around Christmas time with all the mail. Was very pleased with it as it looked a very lovely story for a young child. Would definitely recommend.

小学校で、ボランティアで読み聞かせをしています。簡単な内容の英語の本を探していました。英文を日本語で解説しながら読みます。今回、小学３年生の２クラスで読み聞かせましたが、どちらのクラスでも、好評でした。お話は、ちょうど1inchの長さのしゃくとり虫が、いろいろな鳥の羽やくちばしの長さを測り、最後の鳥に食べられそうになるのですが、みごと逃げ切るという内容です。いろんな鳥が出てきますので、日本語では？英語では？と確認するだけでもおもしろいです。英語が難しいと思う人でも、きれいな絵本ですので、見るだけでも楽しめると思います。
