I'm a relatively light weight but I would not feel secure or trust the chair to support my weight. We were pleasantly surprised to see how well this is made. Very simple to assemble and easily adjustable to fit a range of heights (I am 5’8”). We opted not to put the handles on - you don’t really need them- and they are just a bit too narrow and fell to close for comfort. But very sturdy, no rocking or tipping!
