I did get two starts that sprouted from the seeds. The kit tells you the remove one, gently. I did, but it still died. The other one is still growing. Still looks like a blade of grass, but I am anxiously waiting to see if it will grow into a tree.

Okay so I'm only giving this a 2 star rating for now because based upon instructions my return window expires before the number of days to see if this grow kit works and based upon other reviews this thing more often does not grow with only one review stating it did.The kit seems nice in my situation it came with 3 seeds with one of the seeds looking like it was marked or doctored so as to enable or assist in it actually producing a plant not sure maybe it was just a damaged seed.So it comes with a small amount of perlite and something that looks like soil but apparently is not real soil.There are no instructions for how to actually remove anything that does sprout? but it says if there are multiple sprouts to remove the small ones and plant them? but apparently leave the biggest sprout wait for it to reach an inch tall then remove the top cap off the small kit.Be sure to check your instructions because they are folded in such a way that just when you think you are at the end of the instructions and are confused if you are like me you only later discover there is a fold and it folds out more to reveal more instructions.According to the instructions it should remain in the kit green house for an entire year.I'll come back to alter my review as things progress I'm praying I'm one of the lucky ones and canchange this to a 5 star when my JOSHUA tree germinates and arrives.ANY further instructions or hints would be appreciated.I hope this isn't like them sea monkey kits where nothing grows.Follow up... I've placed 3 orders with this company and none of the kits were successful.The blue spruce order the dirt and the seeds were already opened and mixed like they sent me a returned used kit... subsequently it didn't grow a single thing.The two Joshua tree kits if it would sprout? the sprouted joshua would never live past the 2 grass leaf small plant stage. It would grow and out grow the kit within months not the year the instructions tell you.These kits are the adults version of sea monkeys. The instructions are the same for every tree type which is impossible and not smart because in the case of say the Joshua tree it grows past the kit within months not the year the packaging tells you and sadly it dies almost as easily.I cannot in good faith recommend anyone buy them as anything other than novelty.

I was skeptical about whether it would sprout. I now have a nice little Joshua tree on my front porch.

It's been 22 days since moving the seeds from the refrigerator to a warm place and still no sign of germination. I followed the instructions carefully. I've successfully germinated Joshua Tree seeds previously, not this kit or from this supplier.Since those instructions indicate "15-45 days", I'll continue to monitor and update, hopefully with an increase in my rating if and when the seeds germinate.15 October 2019 Update:Now 45 days since moving the seeds from the refrigerator to a warm place and still not a sign of germination. I'd like a replacement as per the guarantee.15 March 2020 Update:Seller provided a few seeds as a replacement, given the original seeds never germinated, despite carefully following instructions provided. Over the winter months placed in refrigerator, again per instructions, and today removed packet, only to find NONE of the seeds survived the process.This is/was an utter waste of money and a true disappointment. I've had far better results with Joshua Tree seeds from other sellers elsewhere.

The seed never spouted about the soil. After 90 daysFollowed all the instructions.Requested seeds to replace the failed seeds.Two weeks later. NaddaI think that want me to BUY them again.When it freezes over, ok? Then I spen another penny.

None of the seeds grew. I put it in the refrigerator for 20 days and then planted them in the container.When I took them out of the refrigerator, I watered and put them on a heat pad and under a grow light.40 days later- nothing.

Sprouted as hoped but quickly died afterward. It did not make it past a seedling. Disappointed

Nothing grew at all. Followed directions to a tee!
