Does this help grow your hair as the original red label does?

No but it does help with breakage to keep you hair in a healthier and longer state. 🙄 also the red kind does make your hair grow faster by infusing the nutrients straight to your scalp.

What is the difference between this one and the not your mother's naturals curl defining tahitian gardenia shampoo & conditioner?

I had no idea there was another! I found this looking in Ulta a few years ago. And then ordered on Amazon. Will definitely look into this new fragrance. That could be the only difference.

I have type 2A wavy hair that is fine, but thick. Conditioner recommendation? The one in the set doesn't seem to moisturize my hair.

Use The Not your mothers way to grow hair .. it is a moisturizing conditioner.. U can also use the shampoo .. it’s good too.. I have natural curly hair and I prefer it over the natural curly one

It has a soft scent of fragrance of grape very light. I don’t know about linalool.
