The case also encourages frequent shaking to hear the crystals move around.The front of the case is flush with the iPhone 5, so a screen protector is a must. The volume buttons are separated from the silent button. The top and bottom of the case are wide open.The cells are separated by thick plastic, but the back of the case (the clear part with black markings) is a separate piece of mylar/plastic. Because of the flexibility of the back plastic, the crystals can "jump" to an adjacent cell and the case feels "squishy." Im sure over time the crystals will eventually all float to the bottom of the case, but the case itself will wear out before that happens.
