Excellent price/performance/support ratio
I have a number of Samsung SATA SSDs and they've always been great. Whilst their NVMe offerings have been getting more competitive on price, I'm not certain their price premium is warranted when it comes to the Ben 3 drives. Sabrent drives have been getting excellent reviews for their performance and that is only enhanced by the competitive prices, backed up by a 5 year warranty, so I was more than happy to make them my first foray into NVMe drives. First up, according to respected reviewers, if you're going to for Gen 4 units then the Samsung 980 Pro is the mack daddy nuts. However it is priced accordingly. Sabrent are reckoned to be almost as good but significantly cheaper, and the same applies here. The drive itself, like all NVMe units, it tiny when you're used to 2.5" form factors and came in a really slinky little metal case which means it was well protected in transit. It was easy to install on my motherboard (Asus Z170 Pro Gaming) and was recognised right away, and the bundled Acronis True Image software was pretty easy to use in order to clone my old boot drive which was running out of space. It's perhaps not quite as good as the Samsung software but easy and quick enough for all but the most demanding users. Once installed the drive performed pretty much bang on the stated specs in a crystal Disk Mark test and I'm pretty sure boot up time has been reduced a little, although that may be my imagination. Still, it shows that if you have an NVMe slot there is no point buying SATA now, the price has come down enough to get excellent and capacious drives for sensible cash. The 5 year warranty and excellent max TBW endurance means I'm confident this will be a worthwhile purchase.

Great value NVME drive
If you're looking for best bang for your buck in terms of both performance and £ per GB for your NVME solution, this is the drive you'll want. It costs almost the same as it's Intel drive counterpart, but offers nearly double the read/write speeds, and offers around 80% of the speeds that the very fastest generation 3 NVME drives can offer. It's a very good value compromise between those two metrics. For now, to get the most out of the performance these drives can give, you'll need to be dealing with a lot of large single file transfers, or work with HD/4k video & other media material. If you plan on having this for only gaming purposes, it will speed up things like install and game loading times, but it will not improve your frames per second rate or anything like that. For now, you will mostly get the same value and performance from a regular SSD, of course, NVME drives have a much smaller profile inside your PC case, so that may be another factor you might want to consider. I've tried running Witcher 3 on this drive and it loads pretty much instantly, and loading a saved game is exceptionally quick. I do work with large video/media files, and these drives have a super-fast cache that amounts to usually 20% of the overall size of the drive, so around 400GB of the 2TB drives I have, with my USB 3.0 media backup drives, I can get a data transfer speed of nearly 2GB/second for the first 400GB or so of data I transfer, so using them is very quick and painless. 5 year warranty on offer provided you register with Sabrent within 90 days of purchase. Tech support with them has been speedy & courteous when I've dealt with them, and firmware for the drive can always be upgraded even if the drive has data on it, as the software is stored on a separate chip on the drive. Great kit for those that will look to make the most of it, just make sure before buying that you'll be doing tasks that will allow you to use high speeds it to the fullest. I'm sure in a short few years, more games and other apps will get tailored to work at the ultra-high speeds these drives can operate at.

Great speed, good thermals too.
I got this drive quite some time ago as I was looking to improve my boot times and loading times for games too. I previously ran of another M.2 drive, but with the slower SATA spec. It's made a bit difference for some tasks, and little differences for others, which exactly what I expected. For booting into windows 10, my computer used to spend around 5 or 10 seconds on the little logo with the spinning circles, then boot. With the new drive, those little circles don't even show up unless I've just installed an update or something. It goes straight from manufacturer logo to log in. Awesome. Games have seen some big gains too, more than I thought. Some games are loading twice as fast, some are 3 or 4 times faster. I've got the Witcher 3 doing fast travel in 3 seconds. I wish I tested the older drive, but it used to be around 10 or 15 seconds from what I recall. Don't even get enough time to grab a biscuit now! For other tasks like day to day browsing, moving through the OS, it's fairly similar, perhaps a little snappier at times. If that's all you do, an NVMe isn't really something you'll see much benefit in, and a standard SSD will do. I'm really happy with this though, it's been in my machine since I picked it up, it's been flawless, seen it's fair share of file transfers, game installs, etc, and it's still going with no signs of slowing down yet. Sabrent wasn't a company I really knew much about when I got this drive, so I was taking a change on it, and I'm happy I did. They've shown them selves to be really competitive if the SSD space, and I'll be picking up one of their rocket SSD's for my next build.

Great performance and value TLC M.2 drive.
My use: My laptop only had 1 M.2 slot for storage so needed an upgrade to keep up with game installs. Wanted TLC drive that wasn't too power hungry, hot running or chunky (not much space in laptop chassis). The Good: Great value - I paid £189.89 (Retail £249.89 on sale for Prime day (October 2020), at the time there was nothing even close to this for value/performance. TLC memory (which has more durability and performance vs the more common and often cheaper QLC memory - but usually as the cost of more memory modules which takes up more space). Performance was excellent - I was getting the advertised speeds running crystal mark benchmark. M.2 is super easy to install too. My purchase included free access to Acronis (limited version specific to Sabrent drives). The Bad: Please note that this is a doubled sided drive - meaning the memory modules are on both sides of the drive, meaning this drive is thicker than single sided drives - this is a consideration for those with very limited space to install M.2 drives so make that it will fit before purchasing. The drive does not support 512 byte emulation (very technical and not sure I fully understand myself - read up on this to see if/how this applies to you, a few reviews on here have gone into detail) so cloning drives may be an issue. The free Acronis software is really good but will only install on drives the software recognises as a Sabrent drive - this was an issue for me as I needed to install it on my Intel SSD (old drive - 660p 1TB) to be able to clone old drive onto new (Sabrent) drive which was both ironic and frustrating as I was eligible to use the software but wasn't able to - Ended up downloading and using Macrium for free which was super effective and easy to use. Overall: Great performance and value TLC M.2 drive.

An excellent - and great value!
I bought this to increase the storage in my Huawei Matebook D 14 2020 from 512gb to 1tb. Given the other reviews and Sabrent product write-up, I was prepared to change the sector size from the default 4k to 512 bytes (I wanted to clone from my old WDC SSD rather than do a clean install). However, after I had initialised the 'disk' and created a single partition drive using Windows 10 "Disk Management", I checked with the Sabrent SSD Control Panel - and sector size was already 512 bytes. Perhaps Sabrent are now doing this conversion for all new SSDs or had Windows done that for me? With a handy NVME caddy, I cloned the old drive with proportional partition resizing using my trusty Paragon Hard Disk Manager 17 (that I normally use for backups). That took all of 5 minutes and I still had all of the original recovery partitions etc. I quickly swapped over the SSDs and did a check that BIOS had picked up the new SSD OK. That was it, and everything burst into life. Its works perfectly with no issues at all. Even when I work the SSD hard, the temperature has never exceeded 42 degC nor does transfer speed slow down during use. CrystalBenchMark (see photo) confirms the drive to run at the impressive advertised speeds (3450/3000Mb/s). It's also a significant improvement over the old WDC SSD it replaced (particularly writes). As such I am extremely pleased and the old SSD is now used for backups in my NVME caddy - a full backup now taking about 5 minutes! I had initially considered getting a Samsung EVO 970 as a replacement SSD. However, that costs £50 more without any significant performance benefits. As the Sabrent Rocket also comes with 5 years warranty (confirmed on product registration), I'm pleased to have saved £50! Time will tell if I made a good decision........

QUICKNESS, MORE SPACE AND…DIFFICULTIES!!!
Due to the evident slowness characterising the starting procedure of my laptop, as mentioned in a previous review, I made the decision to purchase this device. This SSD helps my laptop to start quickly since the above-mentioned laptop is provided for gaming, the SSD under review allowed me to upload the operating system to make it faster than before. Now the operative system takes less than twenty-second to get started: a flash, I dare say, if compared with what I described at the beginning. To be honest, I uploaded on the SSD in question all the programs and applications which are generally serial whenever you buy a laptop; with regard to the most common games, by contrast, I decided to use the hard disk, reserving the space on my SSD for the ones I play more frequently. The price I paid was convenient enough at the time of purchase; however, I found it definitely complicated to install it, the reason why induced me to ask both my father and my cousin for some tips about it because matters of fact, there’s no user manual in the package it’s contained inside. By the way, after more than two years it's still working properly.

Why wouldn't you buy one of these? (See Benchmarks)
Have been looking at the Sabrent 1Tb NVME for quite a while. at £109.99 it's cheap, I got mine as daily special at £82.49 and at that price it was a no brainer for a second drive to run games from and to use as a Video Editing scratch drive. I installed it had to fiddle a bit to get Windows to recognise it but up and running in about 10 minutes. First thing I did was mirror my Samsung 970 Evo 500 onto the Sabrent and then run identical benchmarks using AS SSD (picture shown). I was blown away at the results, the Sabrent is so much faster, although the Samsung has a much higher sequential throughput, this is down mainly to the Samsung software that uses a portion of the System RAM as a fast Cache. The numbers you need to take note of are the 4K ones really. While the Samsung 970 Evo 500 is anywhere between £91 and £121 the Sabrent 1TB is anywhere between £82 and £109. So double the Capacity on , technically, a faster drive at around 10% below either price point, seriously makes this a no brainer to anyone looking for fast and affordable NVME storage. Once the pricing settles down a bit I will be making my next purchase a 2TB PCIe 4 Sabrent to run as my main drive on my Ryzen 3000. Warranty..... 3 years vs 5 years... really you will be upping capacity well before either of the Samsung or Sabrent will ever be out of Warranty so that should not really be a consideration. Thoroughly impressed with the Sabrent drive, the metal box it arrives in is sturdy as well as being enclosed in a layer of cardboard, then plastic film and finally the Amazon packaging, don't actually think too many of these will be damaged in transit. Stonking 5 Stars, from a long time enthusiast computer nerd.

Great quality, great value! Highly recommended!
I've been very impressed by the Crystal Disk Mark reports I've seen in other reviews and since I was in need of some budget friendly NVME drives, I took a shot here and a good shot it was! This is my second Sabrent product now (the first being an NVME enclosure funnily enough) and yet again, I am pleasantly surprised. It may be that Sabrent is popular in the US and Canada, but I for one hadn't heard of them until recently, and for a brand that (at least to my knowledge) has just started popping up on the UK marketplace, they're blowing the competition out of the water. Samsung EVO speeds at half the price, enough said! As always, Sabrent impresses with their presentation, very nice, clean and just informative enough packaging and tiny little metal cases for the drives. Even included a useful manual (for those that may need it). As for my personal experience with the drives, I've purchased these to use as a SSD Cache for a Synology DS918+ NAS running a few applications (PLEX being a main one) in the hopes of speeding up response/load times (cover image loading, etc) and I can't complain. The drives work exactly as expected and already my PLEX front end is a lot nicer to use (spinning drives are just sooooo slow). And for those out there with a similar use case, I've even noticed snappier skipping through a movie (once it has been cached of course). All in all, great product, not much more to say, nothing to complain about, highly recommended especially given the outrageous value. Worth every penny!

Fast and cheaper TLC Nvme (double sided)
Fast and reasonably priced. This is a double sided, tlc nvme drive. Double sided nvme drives can have compatibility issues with some devices. I used this on my GPD WIn Max which specifically requires as single sided ssd. I manage to fit this drive with a little finagling and some kapton tape. Works great and fast.

PHENOMENAL NVMe at a RIDICULOUS price!
Can't find a better VFM NVMe SSD than this. This is probably my most "worth it" purchase of 2020. Even on PCIe Gen 3, the read speed is almost 3.1GB/s (see CDM benchmark image) which is absolutely outrageous at this price. Pros: • Brilliant VFM • Brilliant packaging - comes in a cute little metal box which is of really high quality and can be used later for storage of something like your credit cards! • Ridiculous speeds - Read - 3.1GB/s & Write - 1.5GB/s Cons: • Only one - No Warranty in India. But still, TOTALLY WORTH IT. Super happy with the purchase.

Brilliant Bang for the buck PCIe M.2 Drive.
If you're on a budget and want a reliable M.2 PCI.E drive, this is the one to get, I have been using it for a couple of months now, boot times and app loading is super snappy! Great product.
