WATANOSATO Samue made in Japan Kurume *Import *Japanese clothes size

This is a very nicely made, comfortable samugi and a great value. Many samugi cost significantly more. In addition, I was very pleasantly surprised when mine arrived - from Japan, no less - in just a few days. The fabric is 100% cotton and is nice and soft. The cut is perfectly roomy but not so big as to get in the way. I use mine for morning zazen followed by gardening and yard chores. It's so comfy that I ordered a second set.As for sizing, I wavered between a medium and a large, and ultimately went with the large. I'm glad I did. I am 5'9", weigh 160 lbs, with a 40" chest and a 32" waist and a 31" inseam. I have an athletic frame. The large fit very well right out of the bag, with the legs being just a tad on the long side (but they have ankle tie-strings so not a problem). I ran it through the wash with hot water and then the dryer on high and it shrank the perfect amount and now fits even better. Shrinkage was fairly minimal, and that's all I needed, but be aware that you likely won't get a great fit if you order way too big and expect to shrink-to-fit later. Order the size you need, understanding that the sizing is Japanese sizing, which is about one size smaller than American sizing.

I have a Japanese garden in which I spend a lot of time as it is relaxing. I have been looking for a Samue (jacket and trousers) for relaxing around the house and also for light garden work. This Samue set (made by Watanosato in Japan) is very well made and quite confortable. I am quite happy with it.

I wanted something like a martial arts gi, but that I could just wear for stretching, yoga, or hanging around the house in. This is great. It came ironed and packaged neatly. It fits me perfectly and is very comfortable.It's too nice to wear for working around the house and garden as they are commonly used in Japan. I'm sure in Japan they are a lot cheaper hehe.Bottom line I'm glad I bought it and I'm very happy with it.

I ordered the black samue in size medium. It arrived more quickly than expected, and was very well packaged. I held it up and thought on no, it's huge! But much to my surprise, when I tried it on, it fit comfortably and looks good. The pants are somewhat large on me, so I had to tightly tie the ties at the bottom of each leg. But the jacket is perfect. There are four ties in the jacket so you can tie the inside and the outside. The fabric is a medium weight cotton and mine did not wrinkle. I took a chance to wash it in warm water on delicate in the washing machine and dry it on medium heat in the dryer. No shrinkage! No wrinkles. The inside tag warns you not to put it in the dryer, but I had enough extra room in the pants that I was willing to risk it. The outfit is so well made that it doesn't shrink. And I like it so much I may buy a second.

Super fast on the shipping date. Ordered it less than a week ago and got it in 5 days time. (Said it was supposed to come in between 2-4 weeks.)Material and stitching is great. No fraying stitches or any type of cheaper fabric used. Sizing for the pants and top fits really accurate in description. Accommodates many sizes.The pants are a bit long and that isn’t the manufacturer’s fault. Unfortunately that is due to my athletic build and genetics. My torso is a bit longer, muscular thicker thighs than most average people, and my legs are shorter compared to the median. So most pants don’t fit normally unless they stretch. But with some alterations about 1.5” is fine.

This is top-notch quality! After considering the measurements, I went for a medium for my slim build (I’m 5’11, 150 lbs). It fits perfectly and is oh-so comfortable, I want to just wear it all day! I also appreciate the generous pocket in front, perfect slot for carrying around your phone or other things. I’m considering buying another one of these, although it’s too bad they don’t have more colors to pick from. Either way, I am very satisfied with my purchase!

Usually I wear size XL (US size) so I did a quick conversion from metric sizing just to be sure before I ordered size LL (Japanese size). The fit was perfect - just a little loose and very comfortable. The material is medium-weight, 100% cotton, so I will be sure to use a cold water wash setting to minimize any shrinkage. The tailoring is very well done, according to the ancient heritage and tradition of Japanese samue craftsmanship.Despite the great distance involved, the package arrived safely in less than a week, well in advance of the estimated delivery date. Tracking information showed each step of the delivery process, from the company shipment by EMS (similar to FedEx or UPS in Japan), to arrival and clearance through US Customs, and to home delivery by USPS.Domo arigato gozaimasu! I had not found comfortable pyjamas in 60 years; always too restrictive or too hot. These breath and have nothing that irritates me during the night. I’m going to buy some more to wear around the house now that I’m retired!

Il tessuto sembra buono anche se lo si potrà valutare meglio dopo un pò di lavaggi, comunque è un capo ben rifinito. Le misure sono perfette (sono alto 1,80 ed ho acquistato una L). Consegna rapidissima
