This little guy is adorable! He does the job and he does it well! One thing to consider is that he’s more suited for doors that don’t have a spring action hinge or a door closing arm. This door stop could work well to wedge under a door with those features if the clearance is low, however it will struggle holding doors with greater than an inch clearance open. The cast iron design is great, it’s heavy enough for a standard bedroom door and will wedge nicely under slightly heavier doors.

It is heavy, therefore it "stays put". Also, it is tall so it works with large gaps under the door.

It would have been adorable, if I had bothered thinking about door clearance. I'll keep it anyway. It was on sale. It's cute. Now it's a story too. It's really very nicely made. Light, but the weight specified in the description, and looks like something very crafty and heavy. Just make sure you can actually use a wedge, which ironically isn't even what I was looking for in the first place.

Adorable door jamb but too thick to sit under the door so its weight keeps the door open. I wish it fit under the door but it’s okay ot still holds the door open. Would work better if wedge were lower/thinner.

This is so cute. I love my little guy. However, he has a very hard job to do keeping the patio door open especially when it's a bit windy. So I put pebbles inside of it, taped it up and glued rubber on the bottom. It's definitely meant for inside doors, lightweight. People laugh when they see it.

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! Heavy enough to keep and inside door open easily.

I bought 2 doorstops, this one and one other cast iron one. This one is beautifully made, no rough edges, painted evenly, and even the cat's facial expression is great. While it is hollow, it's a good solid weight, plus there is a round disk on the bottom that grips to the floor so the stopper does not slide away. I would definitely buy this one again, but I have no other doors to stop where I am. I may get one as a gift for someone else though, it's that good of an item.
