I couldn’t be happier with the TP-Link Deco M4 Mesh Wi-Fi System! It has completely transformed my home’s internet experience. The coverage is exceptional, easily reaching all corners of my 4000 sq ft house without any dead zones. The system is so easy to set up—thanks to the user-friendly app, I had everything up and running in just a few minutes. The speed and stability are amazing, with seamless dual-band AC1200 Wi-Fi that works perfectly for everything from streaming 4K movies to online gaming. The Gigabit ports are a fantastic addition, providing ultra-fast wired connections when I need them. Plus, it works perfectly with my Amazon Echo and Alexa, which makes controlling my smart home even more convenient. The parental controls are a great bonus, giving me the peace of mind to manage internet usage for my kids. The Deco M4 has significantly improved my Wi-Fi network, making it faster, more reliable, and more secure. This has fixed my WiFi and I’m delighted with it. Used to have a lot of buffering and often had to reboot the Apple TV to get connection back but after reading about mesh systems and how they can be much better than the standard router you get from the likes of virgin I tried this and it has been rock solid ever since. I put one upstairs as the main unit and added a second one for downstairs and they share out my connected devices (although most seem happy on the main unit). It’s so much more powerful as a router that I probably could have just got a single unit, so you could do that if you need to keep price down. It’s also taken coverage down to bottom of the garden which is useful. The app is good and sets the system up easily. It didn’t guide me through changing my super hub into modem only mode, but there is lots of info and guides online about that and it was simple to do. Well worth keeping your old hub’s ID and password - just input when prompted from the sticker on underside of your old router and then all your stuff stays connected to the new setup. Sonos speakers seemed to need a reboot before they were happy but they sound better than ever although that could be my imagination! Anyway this is a great product that does a superb job with no fuss at all, just wish I’d discovered it sooner.

Really good, relatively easy to connect. A little bit tricky tonstart with. I set up in AP mode. I recommend watching the youtube video, instruction manual is useless and the app is not enough on its own. Easy 5 out of 5 stars even tho slightly slow overall speed based on my broadband fibre package capability but it is extremely effective and provides the coverage stipulated. No more low wifi signal nightmares. In fact, it boosts my router so much that I can use that wifi feom the ground floor! Excellent build quality. Zero complaints. At £80 its very expensive but I guess that's the price ya gotta pay for decent mesh.

This product has 2 ways of setting it up. You can either. 1. Connect it to your ISP modem, set up each of the units with the basic features in the phone app and it'll run fine with no further configuration. 2. Connect it as in step 1, but then go into more features in the app and then from these go into even further advanced options also. This allows you to set fixed IP addresses & forward network ports to certain network connected items (PCs, NAS devices, TVs, etc etc) , set up Parental Controls (time allowed on-line per day, internet hours restrictions and website blacklists), Quality of Service settings and much more. It took a little time to dig through all the sub-options in the app, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I could configure to match the settings of my old router, so much so , when everyone came home, it wasn't until they saw the new units that they were aware of the upgrade. The logging of sites and servers visited by people set up under parental controls was a nice feature also. There was also a noticeable speed increase in the wifi connectivity and transfer speeds compared to my old triple antenna single-unit router. More network sockets on the units would have been nice (4 on one would have been ideal), though there are 2 on each base station, so if you currently connect more than 1 thing via a network cable, an unmanaged network switch is a must-have. All in all, well worth the cost for what you get, how configurable it is and the overall quality of the wifi you get from these.
