Good cool-weather blanket
Good blanket for cool-weather camping. It's a bit too warm for Ohio summer nights, but is perfect for Spring and Fall camping and as a liner for a winter sleeping bag. It has a built-in pouch that you invert and stuff the blanket into, but it can compress into an even smaller sack if you have one. I personally shove the blanket into a small Cascade Designs Trail Stuff Sack. The blanket fits in there just fine and takes up less space than if I had used the sewn-in stuff pouch. One thing not mentioned in the product description is that the bottom of the blanket has a paracord cinch-pull, so you can shrink the bottom of the blanket. Combined with the 2 strap-snaps on both sides, you can convert the blanket to be a cool-weather sleeping bag.

I would first like to agree that this is an excellent replacement to the gi poncho liner. I actually bought both sizes because I I wasn't sure which would best accommodate my intended use for the blanket which would be as a packable travel blanket for my carry-on. I have opted for the small because the large in its packed condition is way to bulky to fit in my carry-on, the small is just right. I am keeping both, I figure the large can go in my trucks emergency kit and can be used on road trips with the family where size isn't as much of an issue. As far as warmth go's, its defanently not for extremely cold conditions but is great to combat an over zealous air conditioner. My wife and I have been using them as our couch blankets and loved them both. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good lightweight blanket to use when traveling.

Versatile and non-calustraphobic
Excellent price and quality. I get claustraphobic in a sleeping bag, so this is ideal. I have two now so i can double them up when its colder. One is plenty for summer camping, but when it dipped into the 50's i found myself becoming a heat leech off my camp mates. So i got a second one.Great smooth fabric, feels nice on the skin, slides over clothes well, lightweight and warm, but seems to be breathable.I can't recommend this enough. Would be perfect for kids for sleepovers, for the car, to take to events, packs small, its great.Cons: If it's cold you do have to keep your feet tucked which can be a challenge. The newer model of this has elastic around the bottom so you can tuck it around the bottom of your sleeping pad. Great idea. I, however, was cheap and got this one because its half the price, so i must remain vigilant about keeping the toes tucked.I'm 5'6" and when it's cold enough the you must keep the toes tucked, this is just long enough for me, so if you're like 6" you may not want to use this by itself for cold weather.

Perfect for a hot sleeper in mild low temps
Bought this because ibhate sleeping bags. I need the freedom to ajust my temp throughout the night and this does it perfect. Tried it out for the first time on a night where the low was 45 Fahrenheit and got a little cold. I belive this was moslty due to not having it it connected to the thermarest sheet as the next night it was connected and a little warmer low temp made for a too warm scenario.Overall, this is perfect if you don't like sleeping bags and are sleeping in warmer 50+ degree evenings. Pair with the sheet and you got a stew goin.

Great blanket!
This is an awesome blanket. It is light but surprisingly warm. Lots of nice features. The stuff bag is built into the blanket itself, it folds in and zips up. It has 4 snaps so you can attach to yourself like a poncho, or snap it long ways and use it like a sleeping bag. It also has a draw string at one end so you can tighten it around your neck to keep the cold out.

Warm, light, a little small
It's thin, packs well and is very warm. It's super slippery though, and is hard to keep in place as a blanket when tent camping. I haven't tried using it with the snaps to make it into a pseudo-sleeping bag, but I bought two and connected them together for our 3-year old and it kept her warm through a 40 degree night. It is fine for the little one and for me at 5'3" but way too small for my husband at 6'3".

Great alternative to a sleeping bag
I'm not big on traditional sleeping bags because I often find them too constricting, so this is just right for me. It's nice and warm, but definitely not for winter (good for any North East summer evening you can throw at it though), and feels much more pleasant on the skin than some other sleeping bags (almost silky). I'm 6'2" and had no problems with getting my toes covered. My only gripe is that it doesn't quite compress as much as I'd like it to, and the zipper for the built-in stuff-sack sometimes gets caught on the liner.

Love this blanket
In the armed forces its hard to find a item more beloved than the GI poncho liner aka "Woobie". I call the Thermarest Tech Blanket the "SUPER WOOBIE". It is unbelievably warm for its weight. It packs incredibly small. I use this as my primary sleeping blanket at home most nights especially in the winter. And it absolutely comes to with me on my travels. I have both sizes and prefer the Large. The snaps make it a breeze to turn it from blanket to sleeping bag. Works great with the fitted sheet to go a standard inflatable air mattress.
