If you prefer your necklaces a little loose, this may not be a good item for you. However, the look was nice, with the pearls pretty evenly matched in shape, size, and coloring.

This is a pretty necklace. My wife likes it. The blue-black iridescent color is nice, but the color is somewhat inconsistent. Seems like they could have been sorted more carefully to improve the uniformity of color. I didn't have a mint to spend on it, so I'm satisfied. If I'd spent more, I would be returning it. You get what you pay for. 3.5 stars would be fair.

For the money, I thought this necklace was quite lovely. My daughter loves pearls and I was looking for something different to give her for xmas. They aren't really "black" but more a steel grey/blue with a hint of burgundy thrown in. Seems to be fairly well made and decent lustre.

This necklace is very, very lovely and the level of customer service from La Regis Jewelry is outstanding! Pearls can differ in color and the first necklace I received included well-matched high quality pearls, but they all had a pink hue that was not what I wanted. I contacted La Regis Jewelry via Amazon's Buyer-Seller messages page and described the color of black pearls I wanted, more the purplish/blueish hue rather than pink. They sent me a postage-paid mailing label via email and agreed to exchange the necklace at no additional expense to me. The SAME DAY they received my return, they sent me another necklace and it is just gorgeous! Exactly what I wanted! The pearls are all well-matched and of high quality and in the shades I described. I couldn't be happier!

Pearls on necklace were way to light (pink) and not at all as pictured. The black pearl earrings were ordered at same time.

This necklace makes a good match with black diamond earrings, and it appears well made, but with a very small clasp (the only gold part to it) The pearls are really a dark grey, but have an iridescence that makes them stand out. Well worth the price at the time.
