Hippie Recycled Jute Rice Bag Backpack Hand Made Nepal

EDIT: 8/31:I'm afraid I have to knock a couple stars off my original 5-star rating.I've only had the backpack about a week and already it has lost one of its wooden toggle buttons; the most important one, of course, the one that holds the flap down. Now I have to spend money on a replacement (and there's no buying just one button--you have to buy 10 or 20, and they're not cheap) plus a needle and some sort of heavy-gauge thread.In addition, the knotting procedure I suggested below for keeping the drawstring from disappearing isn't working out after all. I don't have a fix for that problem; it just keeps happening and it's a nuisance.Bottom line: This bag is adorable. Aesthetically, it appeals to me no end; I love its many colors and interesting texture, plus it's roomy enough for loads of books and a laptop too. Sadly, it's not made especially well, so you end up having to futz around with it a lot. And truth be told I'm drawing closer to my "futzing around with it" tolerance level; I may retire it to storage bag status any minute. But I still need a backpack, and I'd thought I was done with that task. So while I hate to criticize anything so cute--this thing is really costing me in terms of time and money and aggravation.________________________________________________________________________________________________________There's room in this backpack for all your gear yet it isn't the least bit awkward or bulky. It's also brightly colored and just as cheerful as can be; it looks exactly like the pictures. After searching all over the net for just the right bag for my needs--both in terms of appearance and utility--I finally narrowed it down to a half-dozen or so. I'm 100% happy that in the end I chose this one. I notice the advertising pictures have changed somewhat; the color scheme is a little different. Of course that's to be expected when you're dealing with handmade goods; variation is inevitable (and even desirable). Anyway, to my eye it still looks awesome.One thing you should know about this bag before you use it: the drawstring is not really a string but rather a ribbon. You'll want to tie a LARGE, marble-size knot at both ends of that ribbon to avoid losing it inside the seam; it disappeared on me three or four times the first day, and it wasn't easy to fish out. But you'll be fine if you simply tie these knots first.The seller is terrific, by the way. I had a special request and they were more than happy to help. A great transaction all around.

I love this bag! Holds up to my binders, laptop, water bottles, lunch and more! Straps are a little rough but doesn’t bother me unless my bag is super heavy then just make sure your not in a tank top! Held up to traveling and I didn’t have a problem with things getting wet in a mild rain!

LOVE this bag! VERY sturdy, did it’s job and held strong. Big enough to pack clothes for 5 days and 4 nights, + a binder and very large book, toiletries, etc. but small enough to fit as your carry on!
