It looks well designed & made-I need stil to test it out. ** Test out great in rain!
Received my Foxelli poncho from Amazon yesterday. It looks really nice—better that I had expected. The material is pleasant, it fits well, and the Velcro fasteners are nicely placed to keep it closed. I like the grommets for making it serve as a tarp. I first used the old army surplus rain ponchos since back in the 60's & I'd say this seems to be the best I've seen for a reasonable price in many years. I wanted to wait for a chance to try it in a rain storm, but the weather around here stabilized as soon as I received the poncho, & it hasn't rained since--maybe that's another feature--it makes the rain stop! I'll add to this once I've put it to the test & I expect I'll raise the rating to a 5 if it works as well as it looks like it will.*** Update: I was finally able to try it in a good rain, & it worked great. It's long enough to keep my pants legs dry (I'm only 5'8", & it comes to the top of my boots. The Velcro side fasteners are easy & quick to use & help keep it from flapping. I also works well on an ATV, keeping water from pooling up in the crotch area which is uncomfortable & embarrassing!

Satisfied and Personally Recommend
DISCLAIMER - I have not yet field tested this poncho in wet conditions as of writing this review on Sept. 15, 2020. This is a first impressions review of the product.OVERALL: Satisfied with my purchase and would personally recommend this brand/product to friends and family.PROS-Poncho folds up and fits compactly in a 6 x 10.75 inch pouch.-Fabric feels durable and sewn together well.-4 metal grommets located at the bottom corners and 2 grommets for the dawstring around the neck.-5 strips of velcro contact to reduce leakage.-Stylish patternCONS-Visor on the hood obstructs visibility and is quite floppy-Slightly heavier when compared to similar ponchos if you are into ultra-lite backpacking-Can become a tripping hazard if you are a shorter individualDETAILS:Packaging - Came neatly folded inside a durable and reusable carrying pouch w/ drawstring. The pouch is approximately 6x10.75 inches.Durability - The poncho itself feels fairly durable and is stitched together very well. I was very impressed by the stitching around the velcro where it would need to sustain a lot of tugging and pulling. Keep in mind that I have not yet field tested this poncho in the rain.Design - I like how there is a metal grommet at the bottom four corners to convert the poncho into a temporary shelter if you should choose to. There is also a small triangular pocket at the grommet areas to insert tent poles if needed to, however, I don't believe that they added the pocket for that reason. There are 5 strips of velcro contact to prevent water from entering (2 strips located on the left edges, 2 strips on the right edges, 1 strip around the neck area). Velcro on the sides are located right below where your arms extend out and also at the knee area (I stand 5 feet 6 inches tall). The drawstring for the head area is also protected by metal grommets to prevent tearing or ripping from over-using the drawstring. There is a visor to reduce rain from splashing into your eyes, however, the visor is very floppy and significantly reduces visibility. (I would recommend folding back and taping down the visor for better visibility.)Size - The poncho has a vertical length of 48 inches and a horizontal width of approximately 55 inches (when laid flat). As an individual standing at 5 feet 6 inches tall, the poncho came halfway down to my shin/ankle area when worn (might be shorter if poncho is worn over backpack). This can become a trip hazard if you are a short person. The poncho also came up to my wrists when I extended my arms parallel to the ground (I have a wingspan of 69.5 inches from fingertip to fingertip).Weight Comparison - The Foxelli poncho (11 ounces) is slightly heavier than other comparable ponchos like the Frogg Toggs Ultra-Lite2 Poncho (9 ounces).

Great poncho
Purchased this poncho for a football game and was not disappointed. The grommets kept it from blowing around, the length was great, kept my pants dry and covered the back of my stadium seat. Wore it for over 4 hours and it held up great. The reason I did not give 5 stars is that the zipper was not long enough to open to get over my hat and glasses. A little inconvenient to remove outside in the rain to put poncho on.

I'M 5'4" SIZE 14 FEMALE
This review is for the black Foxelli Rain Poncho. I highly recommend this rain poncho! The material is like an umbrella, lightweight yet sturdy. The fit is great. It comes down to my ankles and the sleeves/sides are a few inches above my wrist. I wrapped my hand around my wrist, and that is the size of the gap. There is velcro located around the chest area and further down the sides to keep it closed. The hood can fit as tight as you want with the drawstrings. The visa is a nice touch. The storage pouch is nice also and could be used as a waterproof bag. I haven't used the poncho yet, but its raining and I may take my dog for a walk to test it out. After I tried it on, I was able to fold and roll and fold in as I was rolling, starting at the hood, and with a little effort I got it back in the carry pouch. I plan on keeping this on my car so it will always be available. I don't camp, but you never know when an emergency arises and it's so versatile. Definitely worth $20!
