It was great for my son who is on the spectrum. At least at first. He found it very calming. It started losing air a couple months after getting it. We found that it was losing air from a spot where the material had came apart the handle. They do send patches, but these will not work on a hole of this nature. Even though it was only two months, this was passed Amazon’s return window.

I love the idea of this canoe, as we call it, and the material is very soft. My son enjoys climbing into it, but I’m noticing it seems to lose air quickly. I need to inspect it closer to figure out if it has a leak needing to be patched. Hopefully it will be something I can repair since I’m confident he’ll enjoy using it if it can stay inflated.

Update: Since writing this review I have been contacted by the company and they are sending me a replacement free of charge because they have a lifetime warranty. Great customer service!I have purchased 2 of these because my autistic son loved them and they helped him calm down. Except that with both of these the one side kept deflating and I could never find the hole. At least with the first one it happened in the return window but with the 2nd it happened just outside of the return window. I loved the product. Just wish it was better made.

I’m a special ed. teacher working in a separate preschool classroom. I purchased this for my students and set it up in the quiet corner. All my kids loved it. It really helped them to stay calm. However, it just lasted for 6 months. Both sides were deflated easily but I couldn’t find any holes. I needed to pump them up every other day. Also, one end was separated because some of my kids were taller and bigger than typical 4 year old. I tried to use the tape but it didn’t work well. I would consider to purchase the longer one (60’) if I had extra classroom fund.I would recommend this product if you have extra money and really need something to help your child to stay calm. In order to keep this product in good condition for longer time, I’d suggest to show your child how to use it appropriately.

Not designed while keeping in mind that Atypical kids will use that, both end were stiched with single layer of fabric, very week and torn apart within a week.

This sensory pod was a game changer for our family!! My little one absolutely loves this pod!! This hug gives exactly what's needed during some pretty difficult meltdowns!! Unfortunately, the pod no longer held air after almost 2 months of use. Have no worries though, the Harkla Company stand behind their products!! I spoke with a representative from the Harkla Company's Support Team and they are replacing our Sensory Canoe Pod right away. It's a lifetime guarantee!!! I cannot wait to explore more products from the Harkla Company 😁😁!!

We purchased this for our autistic son. He absolutely loved it, however within a couple of months it began to lose air. Over time, one side completely tore away at one of the main seams making it inoperable. We reached out to the manufacturer directly who replaced the item after sending some photos. The replacement tore within weeks. I ended up tossing it and never reached back out to the seller. This is a fantastic idea, it’s perfect for a sensory seeking child but that quality is terrible. I will say that this doesn’t speak for the rest of their products but I won’t be purchasing again.
