Excellent quality and comfortable even under higher tension
I swam competitively from age 5 as an age-grouper to division 1 college, and club at the national level. I’ve used a lot of good and bad swimming gear. This belt and tether is great. The belt dimensions and materials are well designed and comfortable. It gets the job done. It seems durable and time will tell, but my experience with other similar quality gear suggests this will hold up to pool chemicals and sun for at least a few years. We set up a 48” above ground pool and connected this to a nearby tree. The tether stretches about 12’ when swimming at roughly a 1:45/100 yard pace. It stretches around 15’ at a 1:10 pace.

Very happy with this high quality swim tether
I bought this during COVID19 when all the pools closed and I needed to continue triathlon training. I initially wanted to get one of the cheaper no brand name ones, but I am really glad I bought this one. The belt is padded, thick, and comfortable. It distributes the resistance across your entire waist and doesn’t just pull or crimp in a narrow area. Wide range of adjustability for the size, and the buckle does not slip or loosen. The cord and strap are very high quality, and have lasted through many many swims in the backyard pool. I know the cheaper ones are tempting, but this product is extremely well made and is worth the extra expense.

Best addition to our pool!
I first scoffed at paying $50 for a bungee cord and a belt and felt I could make this. But I couldn’t. And this is awesome and life changing for a short pool! I wish I had know about such a contraption sooner. It really is awesome. You don’t need the more expensive one because this is perfect and comfortable and makes swimming laps possible.

LOVE IT!!
First couple of workouts with this have been great. The belt is very comfortable on my waist. I have just enough length to attach it where I need and the tension is perfect. The quality of the belt looks very good too. The neoprene around a thick belt is so easy to attach. I'm able to get a great workout in until I'm able to get back to my team workouts or in the ocean.

When you can’t get to a lap pool
I’ve been a competitive swimmer for 60 years. I had seen this sort of thing before, but always scoffed at it. After considering buying a $30K swim spa, someone told me to try this. It’s absolutely great! With a swim spa you need to get in the sweet spot of the flow and swim at exactly the right speed or you bump into one of the ends. The tether is very forgiving in that regard and it’s a pretty good substitute for lap swimming, especially butterfly. I use it almost every day now.

The perfect answer for the serious swimmer with all the pools being closed
My 15 year old is a competitive swimmer and their club lost access to their training pool due to COVID. Our neighbor was kind enough to allow them to use their in ground pool as an alternative. Three girls used these belts to share the pool and they work great. We put a rope across the width of the pool and used C-shaped clips to attach the belts to the rope. Works awesome and the girls are able to swim for 2 hours with no issues. We did add an additional bungee to some of the belts to stagger the girls in the pool. Just used a rubber exercise band which connected very easily.Wanted to post a picture but didn't see the option on this review page.

Odd sensation
I’m a lifelong swimmer - formerly competitively. I think if you are used to doing laps, this will be hard to get used to. I got this because my lap pool closed during the pandemic but I have a little pool at my house and was going to keep swimming with this belt. The sensation of not going anywhere and even the slight pulling backwards is so weird and I can’t get used to it. Others seem not to have an issue but when you’re used to feeling the water move past you, this does not produce the same sensation. I worry it could negatively impact you’re stroke if you’re trying to focus on form.

Great product!
Easy and simple to use. I tied it around my pool stair railing and works great! The hip strap is also adjustable for different sizes and I was able to tighten it to fit my waist just right! I used it to swim more for time & intervals.
