Helen’s Asian Kitchen Bamboo Kitchen Spoon Cooking Utensil, 12-Inch

Very pleased with this 10" bamboo spoon. Was looking for something other than the metal spoon I was using to cook in my made-in. I have several 12" plastic/rubber spoons - too big. This spoon is the Goldilocks spoon for me.

This spoon is the one I rebuy for myself and as gifts repeatedly. It has a thinner spoon area which makes it easier to stir.

I like the design of this wood spoon. I use wooden spoons a lot when I am cooking and I bought one of these as part of a set of bamboo utencils several years ago. We have a handful of wooden spoons of various shapes and sizes but everyone in my house of 4 always goes for this spoon first so I decided we needed more so that one would be available when I need to use it. I was excited to see that they were still making these spoons and they look the same as the one we have used for several years. We always wash our wooden spoons in the top rack of the dishwasher and other than being a little faded and a couple minor burn marks it has held up well and still works great after several years of use.

Handle is fairly substantial but spoonhead is thin, calling durability into question. Very lightweight, does appear to be bamboo. Workmanship was haphazard, from the uneven finish to the small rough spot near the spoonhead. Helen, if you are a real person, you need to do better. I cannot recommend this item.

These are very nice and a good size for cooking. One spoon had a small rough spot, but I filed it out rather than send them back for others. Quite happy with them.

I usually use the French style heavier wood spoons with rounded thinner handle or Olive wood spoons but this was a pretty good purchase, it's very light when you handle it and it's a great size to stir things around with. This spoon is long and on the slim side at the top but it's easy to maneuver and feels good in the hand. The end was a bit wide for what I was used to but I liked how long it was, I didn't have to strain my wrist too much while cooking. I have first used it to make some fried rice for a Saturday lunch over a movie and it was just great, for hygienic purposes I like to get new spoons every few months and this was a great pick. It's inexpensive enough to get a bunch for making cookies, and mashed potatoes, for stirring eggs and pastas, there are endless uses for this item.Bamboo is much easier to cultivate and use than trees when it comes to wood like objects, so I like that and I will pick up a few more, at this price they are useful and economical. I don't recommend soaking these in water for a long period of time, bamboo or wood you don't want to soften them as it will start to split apart.- Kasia S.

Looks nice, very light. It is 3 pieces spliced in 2 places. I received some fine splinters on opening the package near the taper between the handle and spoon. The grain is different at this point so a bit over sanded and like fiberglass fibers..For a 9$ spoon,should not get a splinter to use it. The handle is easy to wield, edges are bit sharp. Going to take some use to wear down..with usage the rough edges and splinters should wear off. Going to try it out see how it goes.

I love this product. I stirs very well in tight pitchers like lemonade, etc.Highly recommended

For this price, you can't get anything better, good material and good size. As ussual with Amazon, the product arrived sooner than expected.

I do not use this wooden spoon for cooking or spanking as my children are in their forties. I use this wooden spoon so that I can reach my back with cream to help with the dryness which comes with the winter. I know you probably think that is strange but as you get older you will feel the tightness just below the area you can reach. The rounded part to the spoon is perfect for spreading lotions or creams on your back.

The head of the spoon is much smaller than I thought it would be. It’s sturdy but I think it could be better. I use it but not what I wanted. Was looking for a spoon that could go from a light batter to a dough no problem. This is for sure better for light mixing

Product arrived damaged, chipped at the edge of the spoon.

I wasn't sure how these spoons were going to be when I ordered. When I received it and used it for the first time it was great to cook with. If using food that had dyes it will stain . The spoon is very sturdy. Will be ordering more.
