One of the best books on trading Iโve read
This book made the whole Swing Trade approach, easy and accessible. My initial desire to read this book was to try to make sense of the gobbledygook I see when I open my trade account. Sure - I know how to execute a buy or sell order - but I wanted to learn some of the other stuff. However, what Pezim does in this book is walk you through the basics of a trade and help you understand the mechanics and whatโs going on underneath. He makes it easy to understand and helps push you in the direction of becoming a successful trader. I particularly like the way he assesses risk and makes this about an informed decision as opposed to โjust a bet that could go either wayโ.Finally - Pezim makes a case for โthe small guyโ and illustrates how we, as retail investors, can have an advantage in the game vs all the massive corporate traders. Although this edition doesnโt address the current rise of AI, and how it would affect trading - I think the strategies may stay very similar regardless. If youโre interested in trading, and understanding how it all works - check out this book.

Set the foundation of swing trading
Read the book in order to build my own routine and to implement a set of tools supporting each individual step. Learned a lot. Good foundation, not too complex, rather a KISS (Keep it simple and stupid) approach but covers all you need.

A very good beginner swing trader book
Iโm somewhat of a new swing trader and chose this book based on a recommendation. It is a good introduction to the best practices and how to set up your swing trading business. The only negative comment is I wish there were more swing trading strategies. This book is more about getting started and geared towards beginners like myself. Also, it needs to be updated to reflect current trends.

Excellent Find!
I am new to Trading and made my entry into this field by learning Swing Trading from this book by Brian Pezim. It was recommended by my brother. The book covers all the concepts of Swing Trading starting from Tools and Platforms for Swing Trading, Financial Instruments, Risk Management, Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, Trading Rules, Strategies, Entry and Exit. The chapters are divided into clear and concise sections along with visual representation of graphs and figures. The author has explained these concepts with such CLARITY and SIMPLICITY... it reflects his knowledge, experience and success in the field. The author emphasizes again and again how important it is to make a good entry on a stock as this would make a big difference in your risk to reward ratio, and put you on the winning side. In order to do so he describes (along with analogies) many classic indicators, patterns to recognise that reoccur time after time and help you identify a TREND for a profitable trade. I could very quickly grasp these trend indicators from the book and use them in my trading. Identifying a TREND is one of the very important aspects...that's what I think...and the author also mentions many times in the book that 'In market Trend is your only friend'. I totally agree with it. He also goes into describing Market Psychology involved with many of these patterns. This was very helpful in understanding the sentiment of the buyers and the sellers. The book was a great foundation for me. Author's method of writing is outstanding and a pleasure to read.Definitely recommend it!

Well thought out approach to swing trading
I got this book because I've never understood the stock market and wanted to start trading. Swing trading really seems like a great middle ground between day trading and holding stocks for long hauls. This book is fantastic because he walks you through everything surrounding swing trading as if you are setting up a trading business. Some other books I've read only touch on analysis or one or two topics, but this book covers everything from risk/reward, scanning, analysis, and much more. This book is more for beginners but anyone who says the content is stale or can be found for free online is looking for get rich quick tips which this book won't give you. This book is about educating you on swing trading and analysis so you can think critically for yourself and make good investment decisions. He'll teach you ways you can do it, but ultimately it's up to you to do it and develop your own strategies or follow his. The approach to presenting the content and how it's all organized is far more valuable than anything I've read online.Even though trading strategies doesn't start until chapter 12, all the preceeding chapters are extremely valuable and prime you for strategies. Three chapters preceeding it are all about technical analysis which you absolutely need to understand before reading about strategies. Even though it's ~300 pages it's a quick read. Some chapters are a few pages and there is an extensive glossary. I read it in less than a week. Also, despite charts being in black and white, they are very clear and easy to read and the candlesticks are shaded and hollow so lack of color is not a big deal.

Not for me
This book covers a lot of general swing trading concepts in a way that is easy to understand. It is suitable for a discretionary trader, but I am more of a systematic trader so it was of limited use to me.

Good for new traders with little or no experience
For a complete swing trading novice, this was an easy book to digest. I really like how the writing style is simplistic and the book contains chart info from actual stocks to illustrate concepts. Will you be able to put this book down and start making money right away? Not likely, but it absolutely contains a lot of solid foundational knowledge. Combine this book with some YouTube videos on swing trading and you'll be ready to start sim trading and practicing the concepts you've been taught.

Ideal for a new swing trader
I love the way this book is written, the author seems very experienced and compassionate about trading. I was looking for something like this but most of the books were about day trading which does not suite new traders who also have other job or business. The use of examples helps to understand the points. Technical analysis tools cover, moving averages, exponential moving averages, MACD, RSI and much more on using screener and patterns, also potential entry and exit points. Reading this has already improved my trading skills. Congratulations Mr Brian Pezim on pulling it all together in the form of a book, great job!

Complete Guide for Beginners. Also Relevant for thr More Experienced Traders
Brian offers great content in this book. From chart patterns and technical indicators to psychology and money management. Every basic concept is covered. The section on fundamentals could be improved a little - I find that the discussion around valuation is important for all types of traders, especially in more predictable sectors like infrastructure and utilities. You could also discuss how interest rates and monetary policy affect the market etc. All in all it is definitely worth one's time and money. Thank you, Brian.
