Dickies Women's Stretch Duck Double Front Carpenter Pant

Tough for work but still cute
I love these pants and went back and got 2 more pairs. I work outdoors with messy toddlers - exploring mud, dirt and all manner of detritus - and I was ruining all my jeans and pants, especially by crawling around on my knees. These double fronted work pants stand up to the abuse, look cute and are very comfortable. I only wish they came in a smaller size -- I bought the smallest size available (Size 2? - Actually, I just reread my published review and see I am reviewing the Size 4 pair that was my first purchase. I returned the Size 4 for a Size 2, which I thought I was reviewing here. The Size 2 was still to large, as stated) and they are still too loose and a bit too long (even wearing my thick soled Hokas). I am 5'3" and 114lbs - just for comparison if that helps in sizing. It would also be nice if they came in navy blue, in addition to the colors they have.

Dickies! My favorite work pants!
These are heavy duty work pants! The quality is excellent, the fabric is very comfortable and they have nice deep pockets. In cold weather, these keep you warm and the wind out. In summer, I didn't feel overheated wearing them, but I probably didn't work in them on extremely hot days.My first pair were size 4. After wearing them all day, the waist gets a bit loose till I wash them again. They do run large, but still are fine. Size 2 is perfect! Fits me like they should. I like that Dickies gives a lot of length in the legs. Being short, the length is too long for me, so, I fold the bottoms up inside the leg and that works fine and looks good. When gardening, my Moss Green Dickies don't show dirt and grass stains like my blue jeans. They wash very nicely too. My older ones faded some after time and washings, but I really like the color they became.

Super awesome pants.
I am 5’10”128-135 lbs.Normally I am a “Size 6” in trousers. My weight fluctuates a lot and so do the sizes manufacturers create.Nothing is ever the same! Lol.I personally struggle with finding pants long enough, but if you are tall you will NOT have a problem with these pants no matter what waist size you get.If you are shorter, cuffing and hemming as previous reviews state will be your reality.I tried 2/26, 4/27 and 6/28. All were perfect in length.I kept the Size 2 and the 6.The Size 2 is what is in the photos.Size 2: fit perfectly around my hips/waist with no back gap. Perfect amount of hug in my thighs while not being too tight and again, length is just fine. They truly are more like 32-34” in length. All of them.Size 4: started to get that loose waist gap at my back and same with the Size 6.Size 6: I wear them as a more “masculine” fit as they sit lower and right on my hips. Stretch a little bit through the day and become slightly saggier but, whatever. Sometimes I like bigger pants.Thick + durable material, definitely will cause some swamp ass in hotter weather but will be great for winter.Zipper is a medium rating…Pocket quantity: bangin’.1-10 stretch is at about a 7.54 stars only because I had to order 3 sizes and because I haven’t given them a true go yet at work.

Great! Runs large by 2 sizes. Generous Length (but I'm short).
I'm 5' 3.25" and around 130 lbs. I usually wear a size 8 in women's pants. I have worn and loved Carhartt work pants which I bought in a size 8, but they ran a size larger and give after wear. These Dickies are a great, more reasonably priced work pants very similar to Carhartts. Lots of pockets and a little stretch with the durable material. The size 6 are good but big. I feel like I could have went to a size 4 for a "beltless," fit. I plan on wearing a belt so they don't fall down too much especially when it's been a couple wears before washing/drying.Depending on how much room you like in your work pants, I highly recommend going a size down for some wiggle room, 2 sizes down to go beltless and have it fit more like a glove at the waist.I have a 30" inseam and they are long! I'll have to hem them especially since they'll sink down after some wear and pocket weight.

Great pants, bad fit
I have ordered these multiple times now forgetting that they never fit. The price point and quality are great, but the sizing is way jacked up. I'm a 0/2 in all other pants. 5'2, 125 pounds, decently slim but I work construction for a living so muscular build. The waist gap is insane. The amount that I have to fold the band so a belt will hold them up is uncomfortable. Length is way way too long. I love the quality but I wish there was one size smaller available. I've tried Dovetail, Carhartt, Red Ants, 511, and these do last the longest. They're just so uncomfortable and make me look like I borrowed my older brothers clothes for work.

Great work pants
I needed durable pants to work on my car. I was skeptical of the sizing but I a size 8 in the tan. I’m 5’3 160lbs and it fits great. Slightly long but it’ll be fine with boots. Good quality and stretches where you need it to!

Way Oversized
I don’t understand why workwear for petite women is impossible to find. I typically wear a size 6 in jeans, so I ordered a size four and they fell down to my ankles. So I exchanged for a size 2, and you can tell by the photo they’re still huge. Why doesn’t Dickies have a size 0, or more realistic pant sizes that are on par with normal women?! It’s like as soon as something is labeled “heavy duty” they increase the size automatically. I just want work pants that will fit me and that seems impossible.

Best work pants ever
I’m a size 0 and the smallest size they had was a as 2 but with a belt they fit great! I HIGHLY recommend for any woman working in trades. The double thickness helps so much with protecting your legs. They have a lot of movement to them as well and aren’t restricting. It accentuates any curves while making it appropriate for heavy duty work.

These pants are awesome
I’m a size 14-16 and the 16 fit nicely. I do where a belt to keep my crack from pokin out but each gal is different. I can wear long Johns underneath as they do loosen a bit as you wear em. I work as a full time outdoorsman, and part time general labourer. These pants do all the jobs.

excelente calidad
Buenísimos pantalones, la calidad de los materiales y la confección es excelente. Son muy cómodos y tienen un ajuste muy lindo a la cadera. Los amé y me encantan para el trabajo del jardín.

Better than expected
I had some Carhart women's work pants that I was in love with and the style was discontinued. It was a lightweight but tough, non stretch, fabric and it fitted my purposes and work needs perfectly. I was hesitant about trying another brand and type of fabric. I need full range of motion in my job as I'm climbing up and over things and crawling under things.I was pleasantly surprised with these pants. They're a bit thicker than what I was looking for but there's enough stretch that they don't inhibit movement at all. I like where the waist hits, and they fit great through the butt and thigh. They run a bit large which was fine with me because I need the room to move anyways. I do need to cinch them with a belt which I didn't have to do with my other pants but I like that they sit higher on my waist. A bit higher than mid rise. I'm happy with my purchase and will by more for sure. Would love it if they has some more colors.

Too large
Good quality but too large, pockets aren't big enough to safely keep your mobile phone, had to return which cost £19.50 as they came from America. Wished I'd put them in charity bag.
