My Helmix 2.0 Vortex Blender Shaker Bottle arrived this afternoon and I was anxious to give it a try. Here is my first experimental recipe: * Dairy Milk (filled to desired level) * 1/4 cup strawberry yogurt * 1 scoop strawberry Orgain Plant Based Protein Powder * 1 scoop vanilla Orgain Grass Fed Whey Powder * 1/4 cup organic raw instant oatmeal (This can also be in powdered form) * 1 tsp almond powder * 1 tsp pumpkin seed powder * 1 tsp vanilla powder * 1 TBS raw unfiltered honey After shaking the contents in the Helmix Vortex Blender Shaker for less than 10 seconds everything blended together perfectly. There were no lumps or clumps. And, the smoothie was delicious. I chose the larger bottle size because this allows for more open inner space for shaking and complete blending of the ingredients. I will continue to use this amazing Helmix Vortex Shaker whenever I need a quick pick-me-up smoothie that requires ingredients that consists of only liquids and powders. The clean up was fast and easy. However, this should be done according to the directions. If you are using ingredients that contain oils, (e.g. chia seeds, flax seeds, peanut butter) it would be helpful with clean up procedures to wash the vortex bottle right after using. This is because the dried oils will harden in the vortex creases, making the cup harder to clean. The snap lid that covers the drinking spout fits tightly so that it doesn't prop open while shaking. However, because I'm 87 years old I found it somewhat difficult to open but still doable. People who have arthritis in their hands might find this maneuver unmanageable. I found the Helmix Vortex Blender Shaker Bottle to be very sturdy and nothing leaked whatsoever. And, the design is beautiful. Overall, I consider the Helmix 2.0 Vortex Blender Shaker Bottle to be an amazing product of science technology. So, I will give this vortex shaker 5 super big stars with happy faces. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

i was a skeptic. i've been through many other shaker bottles with all sorts of agitators inside from wire balls to spiky knobs, propeller blades, etc. all have left a good amount of ingredients unmixed in the end leaving me disappointed, money wasted, and a globby mess to clean up. i thought how could this one really be different without anything inside to help mix things up thoroughly? boy was i wrong. i've mixed the driest of powders with water, milk, juice, tea. shake hard for less than a minute, it's gone, all gone. i thought it was a trick or i just got lucky the first time, then the second, third, forth. others in the family tried it too. occasionally, rarely, there's a little tiny bit of powder somehow trapped in a corner groove by itself. but no chunks, none of those little wet balls that you touch and they burst open with dry powder inside, no huge globs in the crevices, it really does an amazing job of mixing everything up. i guess the physics are right, and i'm a skeptic no more. do make sure you put your liquid in first and powder in 'on top' of everything else. it seems to work best if you hold it vertical and shake up and down as opposed to sideways or at an angle. the 28 oz is huge, has very handy measurement markings on the sides and feels quite solid. the lid screws on tightly. be sure to push the spigot cover down until you hear it snap into place (made the mistake once of not fully securing it and ended up with a mess around the room on the first shake). very durable, a drop isn't going to send the lid flying off in some direction and your ingredients all over the floor. clean up is easy enough by hand, a drop of dish soap, few ounces of hot water, lid on, shake a bit, lid off, rinse everything and onto the drying rack. very happy with this shaker bottle, the rest are already donated away. going to pick up a few more for gifts. can easily recommend this to anyone who wants to thoroughly mix up a drink.

UPDATE: The company saw my review and reached out! Apparently I received a defective cup and the lid is designed to snap shut! They sent me a replacement for free and I can confirm the new cup is PERFECT! It mixes all kinds of protein powder, that I have tried, very easily and the lid snaps securely shut!! I had assumed that the lid was just designed to not snap shut but I'm really glad they reached out. So, if you get a defective one like I did, just reach out to them and they will make it right. Their customer service is amazing. This is my favorite cup for my protein powder now! OLD REVIEW BEFORE THEY SENT ME A REPLACEMENT: I want to love this so much. I love the larger size and light purple color. I have only used it to mix one kind of protein powder and it does mix perfectly. But that protein powder mixes fine with other cups as well. My main issue with this is the lid. The top piece over the mouth piece does NOT clip or latch shut. It just sits there. It does NOT snap shut at all. You even have to make sure to hold that piece down as you shake the cup. I haven't noticed it leaking yet when I shake it up as long as I hold it closed, BUT if I knock this cup over or spill it in my car it's going to go everywhere, simply because they decided to not have the top piece snap shut. That's crazy to me. I have several other mixing cups and none of them are like this - they all snap closed. I just don't understand why anyone would design it this way. Such a small but major issue that honestly keeps me from using this cup!! Sure I could mix it in this cup and transfer it to a more secure cup with a lid that closes but who wants to do that or have the extra dishes to wash? This was a pretty expensive cup and honestly my protein powder came with a free mixing cup that works just fine and snaps shut! I don't remember seeing anyone talk about this issue in their reviews - if I had known I would not have bought this cup and I definitely won't buy anymore until they change that. In my opinion, that's such a complete design flaw and makes this cup useless to me. Having a lid snap shut doesn't have to make it completely leakproof - but it would help with accidental spills. They should at least state somewhere clearly the the lid doesn't close or snap closed because anyone would assume by looking at it and based off how other cups work that it does!

Update: I want to start off this review by telling Dody at Helimix how much I appreciate their promptness and the level of service that they provided. I contacted Helimix Support via their website and got quite possibly one of the fastest responses I have ever received from a company about anything. After sending my email in through their website at 7:07am they had responded to me (a real person not automated) by 7:23am with what information they needed to begin to process a replacement for me. I was blown away with how quickly they responded to me since it seems most companies have a standard 2 to 3 business day time frame on non-automated support. I sent in the requested information and they replied same day that they would get it shipped out that week. I can't overstate how amazed I was to contact support, get a reply and resolution all in the same day. That kind of customer service is hard to come by over email anymore. As promised they had my replacement shipped out 2 days from initial contact and I had it in my mailbox exactly 1 week after initial contact. Now that I got the amazing experience I had with their support out of the way, for the bottle itself. There was definitely an issue with my previous one because this one has been nice and watertight since receiving it. I've been using it for the past two weeks since getting it and have not had the same issue. Bottle is great at getting everything nice and mixed. I love being able to get the same if not better performance as other bottle brands without extra parts to achieve the results. They've got me hooked and I will definitely be recommending their product to others. (Original Review retained for completeness) I dunno if mine just doesn't sit right but it's not leak-proof. It's not a horrible leak but the whenever I'm shaking up anything inside it I will get splashed with little bits of liquid. There isn't any type of rubber gasket between the lid and cup so I'm not sure if this is why it leaks ever so slightly. None the less it's no fun getting sprayed by my drink when trying to mix it and it really sucks because otherwise the bottle is perfect. No clumping, mix is nice and uniform with very little to no product settled on the bottom.

This product is genuinely fantastic. It is truly best in class, though my unit seems to be suffering from a few small drawbacks. I know some other reviewers had previously mentioned issue with the top not opening all the way, however it is pretty clear that they are not opening the lid the entire way. while you will meet some resistance at 90 degrees, you need to push the top back to the full 180 degree to fully open it. I really am unsure why they were not able to realize this, as I took approximately 30 seconds to figure that out. PROs: - No Shaker Ball this makes it incredibly easy to clean, and even easier to use. I am someone who frequently loses small pieces and parts so this TRANSFORMED my shaker bottle experience. The ability to simply pour my water and drink mix into the bottle is incredibly easy and very intuitive. - Strong Mixing Ability - While I will admit that I was slightly skeptical at first, I have to admit that this shaker bottle is EXTREMELY powerful, perhaps the most powerful I have ever used. I never have any clumping at the bottom of the bottle, even when attempting to mix even the toughest of pre-workout mixes (which traditionally struggled in many of my previous shaker bottles). In addition, I have never found that it takes an unreasonable amount of shakes to properly mix the powder into drinks. Typically, with vigorous shaking, it only requires maybe 30-45 seconds to get the powder completely mixed and clump free. - Easy to clean - This is, perhaps, the Helimix's greatest strength. To clean this bottle is incredibly simply, and requires almost no thought. Simply open the bottle and mix dish soap with hot water for a minute and I find that this bottle is thoroughly cleaned. In addition, simply open the lid and scrub with soap/water and the lid is clean. I no longer worry about spending countless hours scrubbing and rinsing the shaker ball in most bottles to remove every last little particle of previous drinks. Now I simply clean the bottle and its set. CONs*: *To preface this list of cons, these issues might only exist within my own specific unit and may not be an issue of the product as a whole. - Leaking While Shaking - I am unsure of why this is happening, but when I am mixing with this bottle I find that I have a small amount of liquid which leaks out onto my hands, no matter how much force I apply onto the lid or the cap. It really isn't a large amount of fluid, but it is enough that I have to wash my hands whenever I am done mixing the drink. To make this issue even stranger, I do not see any leaking while this bottle is sitting. The product only seems to leak while it is being shaken, even with extra attention paid towards holding down the lid and the cap. - Lingering Smell / Taste - I also have found that my unit seems to retain a lot of the smell and flavor of the previous drink mix I have used within that bottle. To be clear, I am not mixing some extremely strong drink mixes here. Even with mixes like lemonade or Gatorade, I am finding that the taste and smell seem to linger. No matter how many times I have tried to wash out the bottle with a variety of dish soaps, this bottle still seems to retain the smell and the taste of the drink which was previously mixed within it. Not a major issue, however it can be kind of annoying when you mix two different drinks with flavors that dont mesh well together (i.e. if Peach-Mango lingers into Orange-Vanilla). OVERALL: As a whole, I would give this product 5 stars if not for the leaking and the lingering smell issues which my specific unit seems to suffer from. To be clear, even with those flaws, this product is definitely the best shaker bottle on the market, and I can not recommend a purchase highly enough. You will not regret it!

Helimix, you have come thru and exceeded my expectations. I initially spoke with Ally from customer service about my issue. She escalated the issue and sent me out a brand new shaker. I received it in just a few days. The new shaker is molded of a super solid plastic. So well made!! Today, I just got off the phone with Moni the CSR in support. Talk about great follow up. Moni was amazing and so helpful. She called to make sure I was 110% pleased with my replacement shaker. I assured her I was. She explained that because of my previous feedback the shaker is now made with a much stronger plastic. I can see that it definitely is. She gave me her contact info should I have any issues. Thank you Helimix. I have told others at the gym about this amazing product. Well done!!! I am updating my review. I may have spoken too soon. After having the product for a few weeks now I am noticing a slight hairline crack in the cup itself. I didn’t notice it at first, but now the cup is starting to leak where the crack is. What was once a great product is now making for a mess when used/shaken. Very disappointing. 😕 This product is a durable hard plastic. It does not use the typical blender ball most are use to. I find they normally clump up. With this shaker’s unique geometric design the drinks come out creamy with no lumps. The best part is there are no leaks. The flip top closes very securely. Cleanup is a breeze as you just add a couple drops of dish soap and water, shake and rinse. Super easy! I will definitely be ordering it again.

This is the only shaker bottle I have tried. Glad I chose this one. The plant-based protein powder I use mixes thoroughly with almond milk (and a little less thoroughly with regular milk), with only a few particles floating to the top—no biggie. I’t easy to clean—though I have occasionally had to use a knife to extricate matter from crevices on the underside of the cap. A bottle brush, such as the Manna Ultimate Bottle & Straw Brush set, is useful for cleaning the “corners” at the base of the bottom and these crevices on the cap, but I have only had to resort to this if I have left the bottle uncleaned overnight! The screw-on top does not leak, as long as the hinged flip-up cap covering the mouthpeice is clicked securely in place. One reviewer complained that this flip-up part, when open, opens only 90 degrees, making it difficult to drink. I purchased in May 2019, and my bottle does not have this problem. When flippped 90 degrees, the flip-back stops. But push it and it will flip back to 180 degress. Use your index fiunger to keep it from flipping forward as you drink. To make the flip-top part click firmly into place to seal the mouthpiece, firmly press the upper corner of the hexagon on the top of the flip-thing—not the center of the hexagon. A decal (which will soon wash loose) on the top of this flip-thing tells you where to pull the flip thingy up—curve thumb and opposing finger beneath the “bridge’ between the hinge and the part that covers the mouthpiece and push fingers up. It really is a lot more simple than I make it seem; I only list these things for anyone who gets this bottle and is confused. I have had the bottle only a month so cannot speak to its long-term durability, but it has held up to daily use so far. Glad I didn’t have to try out a ream of other bottles to find one that works well. Heartily recommended.

I’m not blown away by this product. Sometimes it mixes very well, sometimes there are clumps left. The opening at the top is nice and wide. I think this is a very over hyped product
