Zerk fittings are missing on wheel hubs
I sold my utility trailer to my brother-in-law but I was always concerned that the Zerk fittings were missing and the threads to install new Zerk fittings were completely stripped. Before I sold my trailer, I purchased this grease injector tòol and figured out a way to keep the grease inside the hub. I still had this fear that my brother-in-law would be pulling the trailer down the highway, the grease would escape and the hubs would start smoking. BTW, the existing utility trailer is no longer manufactured. Today my brother-in-law brought over some deck furniture in the utility trailer. Upon inspection of the hubs, I learned that the grease that was injected using a grease gun with the Grease Injector Needle was not escaping as I had feared. Basically, after injecting grease into the missing Zerk fittings, I took a small wire nut and inserted it into the Zerk fitting whole backwards. Surprisingly, the wire nuts were doing a remarkable job of keeping the hubs nice and well greased without coming out. It still needs to be rethreaded with new Zerk fittings but that's not my problem. The long story short is that the grease injector is working well in lieu of Zerk fittings for the time being. So my review of the grease injectors is very positive. There's a round rubber piece that covers the location where the grease gets inserted and keeps the electrical wire nuts from coming out. Perhaps I should patent my jury rigged solution. LOL. Without the grease injector needle, I would have been unable to fully grease the hubs. So they are an effective solution to an unusual problem. They're well made and fit into the end of the grease gun. I still consider it a temporary solution but it was a big relief to see that the hubs were not void of grease. I guess necessity is the mother of invention. I wish I was able to rethread the locations of the missing Zerk fittings but the metal is very hard and there's just so much I can do. I have a friend who's a mechanic who believes he can rethread the metal and reinstall Zerk fittings properly. I got way off tangent but I didn't want to receive messages that I was creating a real danger. I advised my brother-in-law to always travel with a grease gun when pulling the utility trailer.

Worked fine for me
I used this injector needle to lube the otherwise never-to-be-lubed-ever-again sway bars ends on my Honda CR-V. Worked fine, 18 ga. is a small needle; it will bend so be careful. Worked great with the Workforce Mini grease gun I purchased at the same time from Amazon. I hope to have gained 20k to 30k miles before I have to lube again or bite the bullet and replace the sway bar ends.
