How wide are the legs apart?

I keep seeing that it can he adjusted to go 29.5" tall.....this does not seem tall enough for any usage. Does it really only get as tall as 2'4”?

I'm using it at 2 ft right now sitting at a rocking chair in my living room, it has one more height adjustment I could go up yet so I would say yes on the 2'4" thing. Seems to be high enough for most couches and chairs that I have. Hope that helps.

In order to store the table flat does it need to be disassembled in any way?

You just push buttons in on the legs to lower and collapse. Very simple and easy.

What is the diameter of the leg? My sleeper sofa only has 1" of clearance underneath so I'm wondering if the legs will slide under.

The legs are about 1" exactly. You will be cutting it close but you have 30 days to return if it doesn't work.
