great product but the cooking instructions yield soupy rice (fixable issue)
I ordered the original flavor (plain) and followed the cooking instructions exactly, but the end product was a little soupy. Per the instructions, I used 1-1/3 cups boiling water for the entire package; I will try 1 cup of water in the future. However, after refreigerating the soupy Right Rice overnight, I heated it in a saucepan and that took care of the extra liquid. I mixed the rice with browned impossible meat, minced sauteed mushrooms, kale, fresh peas, and tomato sauce-- it was fantastic! I never thought I would like a rice-like shape/texture in place of pasta, but I love it! The flavor is neutral and I look forward to experimenting with it further. The flavor was very slightly affected by the detergent/perfume aroma from the Amazon shipping pouch, so I will look into ordering directly from Right Rice. I'm tired of Amazon's blue & white plastic shipping pouches being doused in a heavy detergent/perfume scent that transfers to the contents. I've had to return several items that absorbed the detergent smell. I wish someone at Amazon would do something about this ongoing issue because it's ruining products for people who don't want their stuff to smell or taste like laundry detergent/perfume.

Awesome Rice Replacement - Suggest Trying
I originally purchased, or found these, at Trader Joe's where they cost either 4.99 or 5.99 per package. Because I am trying to live a healthier lifestyle I decided to give these a try this product. Liked it so much that I came on Amazon to find them cheaper for a 6 pack. These have more fiber, more protein, that any rice would have and therefore are my new go-to for "rice". The flavor, texture, and ease of making this make this product well worth it. I purchase 2 6-packs at it will last me 12 weeks due to proper portion control - I eat approximately 1 pack per week for 4 prepared meals. Tried to "risotto" one as well and it is also really good. If you are trying to become a little healthier, drop a few LBs, eat more fiber, more protein, etc., give these a try with your favorite meat and veggie combo. I am going to try to make some stir-fry with them next week - we will see how that goes. :)

Edible for sure, but meh...
I'm not sure what the purpose of this rice is...my husband bought this and was excited. Maybe because he doesn't like vegetables? I made it up for us but both of us agreed it was pretty blah. I didn't do anything special to it - perhaps if I had added onions, peppers and some seasoning...used it in a recipe? It was just pretty tasteless. We are preppers so from that standpoint I guess it is good because it is hard to find a vegetable that people will enjoy eating that stores well. I notice that it comes in other varieties now, but I'm reviewing this because this is what we bought. It would be fine for camping or something...but as far as having it for dinner I'm not rushing to my pantry and saying "Oh good! Lets have this tonight."The packaging is such that it should store well in cool dark place.

Great substitute for rice, nice flavor
While this has some rice flour in it, it was way more protein than rice and is a great substitute if you’re like our family and trying to stay to a keto- or paleo-type diet as much as possible and you can’t eat common substitutes such as cauliflower. RightRice has a flavor that everyone likes and that we don’t have to feel really guilty about eating. We can have our rice and eat it, too. Very pleased with the flavor, texture, and nutrition of this high-protein rice substitute.Let Amazon donate to your favorite charity! Surprisingly good
Wow! I am so glad I took a chance on this 'rice'. Not only is it tasty, but the individual grains have a nice texture to them. To me, the texture of RightRice is the same as the regular rice. It is easy to cook too. All you do is boil water, dump the rice into the water & let it sit for about 15 minutes and it is ready to go.I will say this, the serving sized indicated on the package is off a bit as I never get the measured amount listed, but it is still enough for Mr. Wigi & me. I'll be buying more when I run out.

Not bad but not "real"
I'll start off by saying RightRice is definitely good. No question about it. I wish I could have given it a 3.8 since I feel like a four would be too generous. Right off the bat, the packaging is really sleek and modern. To cook, it is very easy and pretty fast. You cannot cook this in a rice cooker but that doesn't bother me since I don't use one anyways. When the rice is done, it looks KINDA like rice but if you research the brand it really isn't. From my understanding, its made from 90% vegetables. First taste impressions are that the rice is good. I always spice up my rice and in the picture above I had cilantro and lime for last two and then Broccoli for the first picture. It does tastes good on it's own if you want to keep it simple. Now for the cons.Does it tastes like rice? Kind of but it is painfully obvious it is not "real". Does it taste good? Yes. Does it tastes better than regular white or even brown rice? Absolutely not. Which leads me into my next point: Is it worth it over regular white/brown rice? Honestly, no. Yes it is healthier based on the numbers but by how much I have no idea. That being said, I don't feel like the price justifies the cons. You are paying more for a food item that doesn't taste as good as the real thing. And when I say not as good as real rice, I mean literally not even close. This isn't one of those meals where you eat it and you say to yourself, "Man, I can't taste the difference!". No, you can clearly taste the difference and considering it's at a premium I just don't think it is worth it. Why would I pay more for less flavor? I will finish the pack I have for now since it does taste good but I most likely won't be buying this again since it just isn't for me.
