I wish surf ponchos had caught on decades ago, because I always hated using a towel to change into my wetsuit. It's been 20 years since I last surfed, but I now surfskate and have a paddle conditioning board I take to the local lake. Currently, the lake temperature is around 60 degrees, so the wetsuit is absolutely necessary and now I can change in and out of it comfortably without risking exposing myself to other lake goers! The towel method is a lot harder than I remember! I can't wait to take a surf vacation someday, and I will be in paddle condition and will be equipped with everything minus an actual board, which will be easily rented wherever I go. Living in a landlocked state sucks when all you want to do is go surf, but I'm glad to have equipment like a wetsuit and this surf poncho to give me a taste of it. I like to go paddle around my SurfinShape board at the lake until my arms are exhausted, then go surfskate afterwards. That combo is the closest thing to surfing I can get here, and I get a good workout and it all will help me maximize a surfing vacation since I will be in good enough shape to actually surf for more than 30 minutes a day.
