Very enjoyable, captivating
Really enjoyed this volume (vol. 5). Really enjoyed the details of the Farmus war planning, the political ping-pong reasoning between the king and all the others involved. The strategy and battle, was also well done. All-in-all I am impressed with the amount of detail, explanations of the spells, and overall pace of the events. I found myself reading this book at every opportunity.

A consistently excellent series.
I am hooked on this series. The problem is that there are so many characters, there's very little character development. Also, the constant long magic explanations bog down the plot and action. Still, I truly love this light novel series. The one thing I hate, though, are the illustrations. They are charmless and barely acceptable as rough drafts. I initially ignored the manga because of this, until I realized that they actually had an artist drawing it. The idea of a slime as an overpowering hero seems ridiculous at first, but the author makes this believable and charming. I truly cannot wait to see what occurs next.

Best by far
When I watched the anime this part was my absolute favorite and the book makes it even better. I loved reading every moment of this!

Exciting developments!
The narrative is a bit confusing at times, with some odd time jumps, but overall it's still the same OP slime and friends having adventures that you've no doubt come to expect from this series. I enjoyed this volume.

Where did the time go?
I genuinely couldn't stop reading once I started. I flipped through the first few pages to get going and then a few hours later I had completed the book.... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TIME? It's a VERY good read and I really hope this is what season 2 of the anime is like. I highly recommend this series to my friends and family a the time. I really think Fuze-sensei knocked it out of the park with this one tho.

Top 3 currently running isekai series
This book marks the transition from the really light and fun Tensei shitara to a much darker tone. If you read the WN you know what I mean, even though they’re going different paths, definitely still getting darker. My only complaint with this one was that some of the internal monologues seemed to drag on for a long time and some pages were honestly skippable. I also wish we would’ve got like a character and plot refresher at the beginning of the book as it’s been a while since the anime stopped/last book, I forgot some of the side characters’ names.

This was such an amazing follow up to book 4
The detail put into the scenes in this book to flesh out a timeline are beautiful. Not only that but the serious tone was handled perfectly in my opinion. With a chance to show how to finish an arc and begin a new one, this author has made my worry about this book simply vanish. I need the next volume so bad
