Great for large parasols......and/or windy locations *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 March 2018* We have a 2.7M parasol and originally bought a 9Kg base. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t heavy enough to stop the parasol blowing over if it got a bit windy (we live near the coast). This heavier base works an absolute treat!The screw thread for the centre pole goes all the way through the heavy base, so is very well set and the centre pole itself will take the usual range of parasol poles, with two nnice chunky screw to hold it steady.One quick note, while heavy, it is seems surprisingly easy to chip the top surface (see photo) - the first two delivered were both damaged in transit - on the upside, the customer support was excellent and the third one was delivered undamaged and since then, no problems! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent base to withstand very windy days! *by D***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 April 2016* Looks to be a really solid base. I was concerned about how the upright tube was going to fit to the base as this can often be the weak point on parasol bases. However the base has a large screw thread actually moulded into the concrete/resin, and the plastic upright tube which is very substantial simply screws directly into the base. It seems absolutely solid and has two finger bolts to hold the parasol in place. (No single threaded bolt attachment of the tube to the base or anything like that). I don't think my parasol is going anywhere with his base. Very nice finish too. The instructions recommend not to drop the base on your toes, which I think is good advice indeed, as this weighs a lofty 25Kg. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Frustrated *by J***5 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 June 2020* Product arrived a day late. Bolts go through a threaded tube then attach to a nut with a rubber cap. These were not on the bolt already & were awkward to fit, people with big fingers have no chance! We had to take the top one out as it was inline with the bracing cross member of the table.
