Get it! Perfect for kids and teens!
The media could not be loaded. Wonderful storytelling and visuals. Accurate representation/summary of the four gospels with necessary background context sown into the story. It’s perfect for kids, teens, and even adults that want to read the gospels in a new fun way. Although I would suggest having them read the manga AND the Bible together.

Just amazing
I have read other comic book adaptations of the Bible, but this one is really good it has true manga art style color pages, the real Hebrew names are used not Greek translations. Highly, highly recommend this book for not just kids but for all ages. I read the first 20 or so pages and instantly bought the rest of the series including the pre order of The Manga Bible. Thank you for reading this review and God bless.

Life changing book! Every teen and young adult should read!
This is a must read for teens and young adults. It’s life changing to me, it’s a great book based on the Bible but made it more story-like. I lost my original book so I bought this as a souvenir and pass along to family and friends.

Amazing Bible Adaption!
I'm probably a bit older than the typical demographic of these books, but I'm a 20-yr-old college student who is an active follower of Jesus and a BIG manga and anime nerd. It's been really hard for me to find quality material, especially since I've recently realized my need to be more discerning with my entertainment, because Japan has a very tiny Christian population, so there aren't many quality works in this subject area. I happened onto this by chance, and it didn't disappoint! The art was beautiful and clearly conveyed the emotions of the scriptures well; the humorous and heartwarming memories were done very well and in a scripturally accurate way. While it didn't shy away from intense themes and scenes, it wasn't excessively violent or gory. Some scenes, such as John the Baptist's beheading, were explicitly stated, but not shown. I think that this is an awesome way to get someone, especially children or teens, into the scriptures, and I fully plan to save my volumes to share with my own children in the future.

Great Way to Get the Message out to TEENS
I did not see this book only read the description. All of our grandkids are into anime and this was the perfect solution to get the message out about the End Times we live in. I don't know if they have read it yet. I hope they do. The listing showed colorful pictures so I am sure they will enjoy them if they read it.

5 stars!
Bravo to all those involved in this!My girlfriend is extremely smart, but suffers from dyslexia. She would struggle to read the Bible, even bough she liked it, it was still hard for her.I went searching and found this. I wasn't sure at first, so I bought it for my kindle so I couldInvestigate before I got her a paperback. This was so well done, some of the verses in this spoke directly to me, and even choked me up at times.I finished it very quickly, and learned new things in the process. She loves her Manga Messiah so much, that I just ordered 3 more of the series for her. This is the real deal, with scripture attached, nothing misleading or phony in these pages.Highly recommend for younger people, people with reading disorders, or maybe even people who don't speak English as a first language.I can't speak highly enough about the labor of love this book is.

Interesting Creation
I have to say, I was surprised: this book didn't suck. 95% of so-called "Christian comics" stink like week old trash. This was creative while faithful to the story of the gospels. Two things to be aware of. 1) Like most American renditions of the gospel story, this features all white characters. 2) The story harmonizes all four gospels which I think is theologically problematic when kids get older, but not so much when young. Not a major problem, just something to be aware of.I'm buying this for my 13 yr old nephew.

World's best story told in a really cool way!
A wonderful and accurate retelling of the Gospel that both adults and children can appreciate. A problem people might run into while reading this is many of the names in the story are in the original Hebrew. Jesus' name is Yeshua, Mary is Miryam, etc. I believe looking past these changes is well worth it.I read a review about how this book is anti-Semitic and upon reading it I cannot find any logical basis for believing this is an anti-Jew comic and it certainly does not promote hatred. This would make a good present for children and can show them the story of Jesus in a way that they may not have seen before or maybe even their parents haven't seen before. And on the bottom of every page it gives the book names, chapters and verses of where you can find that story in the Bible. This book has shed a lot of light for me and answered a lot of questions that I've had about Jesus and can honestly say that it has improved and deepened my relationship with Christ.
