This has been a great comfort to my whiplashed neck. The fleece cover is soft and cuddly. The scent is just right...very soothing and not too strong. The weight helps the heat stay in contact with your skin and the shape is good to wrap around toward the front of your neck a bit. It also can be applied to the lower back easily and it's pretty comfortable to lay against. Some reviewers have said the heat only lasts about ten minutes and that's about right if you just heated it as directed and applied it and did nothing else to preserve or increase the warmth. The instructions recommend 1 1/2-2 minutes in the microwave. I'm sure it could be damaged by excessive heating as it says, not to mention the company's liability concerns if someone burns themselves. What I have done is give it 2 min. on high, then removed it and put it in with the opposite side up for another 30 sec. on high and that worked fine for me...not too hot and heated more evenly. I also tried adding one minute on medium heat after the initial 2 min. and that also did not seem to be too much and it just felt much nicer to me with that extra heat. I also wrapped a small towel around the outside of it to help keep the heat from escaping so fast and I have been able to get 20-25 min. out of it before it started to feel cool. It is a moist heat so once it cools off you definitely want to remove it. I haven't tried it in the freezer yet but it's nice to know it can be used for that also. I feel it has been money well spent and hopefully it lasts a long time.

I am using this pillow for muscle tightness and spasms for pain relief and before workouts. love it. It is very soft and has a relaxing scent that is not overpowering. It is pretty large, which is great, but not meant to use in smaller microwaves. Make sure to follow the directions when heating so that you do not ruin your pillow. Minky fabric cover is removable and machine washable. I also received a card with a code from the owner of the company for a free gift as a thank you for my purchase. After I reached out to the owner, I received a free matching eye pillow shortly after. The eye pillow is great for migraines—for relaxing tense muscles. Very nice gesture. Now, I am enjoying both items. I would highly recommend these items. The owner is also very responsive.

I am going through physical therapy for my neck. This works great after my sessions. The heat is fantastic, the weight keeps it in place and the collar stays next to my neck. Only problem is it is a little too big for my microwave oven to heat it up. It won’t rotate on the plate very well.

I have been using the Microwavable Large Neck and Shoulder Wrap to treat my neck pain. I wake up with a sore neck in the morning, and using a traditional heating pad is not practical with my schedule. The Wrap is very easy to use, you just put it in the microwave oven for a couple of minutes, and it's ready to put on! It feels very comfortable on my shoulders, and it feels nice on the skin. It also has a nice soothing aroma, I think it's eucalyptus, which helps me relax. I also use it in the evening after work. The Wrap keeps the heat for a reasonable time, and is easy to use. The most important thing: it helps! There is also an option to put it in the freezer for cold therapy, but I personally like the heat therapy. I highly recommend!

I purchased a neck wrap of another brand first, but it was not long enough to reach my “mother knot” which is located to the right of my left shoulder blade. This wrap actually covers the knot (Yay!!), which was great (I cannot use this for my neck anymore. More on that later), but the portion that wraps around the neck isn’t as generous as on the shorter wrap I previously bought, so it’s six of one, half dozen of the other. I need the heat therapy for the entire area - neck and upper back, and I find I have to chose which area needs it most at the time then use the corresponding wrap. Also, because of the length of this wrap, which is great, it is sort of lopsided in weight. It often wants to fall off my back side. It would be helpful if there was more material on the neck piece and more filling. This would help solve the lopsided weight issue, as well as the issue of having enough material to wrap around the neck. At a minimum there should at least be a strap or clasp to keep the thing from falling off. Lastly, I was not crazy about ordering this item due to the scent. I thought it would be bothersome to me if I had a headache (sometimes I use heat for a headache) but I decided to try it and just not use it when I had a headache. What I didn’t count on is that it was very bothersome for my asthma. The scent had provoked two asthma attacks so even though I have only had this wrap for about a week, I really refrain now from using it for my neck. Since I have osteoarthritis in my knees, I have been using it for my knees instead. Its large enough to drape over both of them at the same time. Since the wrap is not so close to my face as it was when I was using it as intended around my neck, I’m not breathing in the scent so much and it does not induce asthma attacks. I had initially tried to find this with no aromatherapy (scentless) before I bought this one but could not find it offered without the scent, so I took a gamble and, again, it was headaches I was worried about. I never in a million years thought it would affect my asthma. I would recommend offering this product in sent-less, as well. Not everyone wants aromatherapy or can tolerate it. At any rate, I decided not to return the product since I can use it for my knees. On the plus side, the moist heat is great! It would be even better if it retained the heat a little longer. Can get about 10 minutes out of it.

I have chronic issues with severe tension headaches that are caused and/or exacerbated by stressed out and knotted up neck muscles. While it's true that the heat from this wrap only lasts for a while--which is true for any reusable, microwave-heated wrap like this, I might add--it does exactly what it claims. It's very comfortable and gives me relief after a day of sitting at my desk. The weight of it really helps with keeping the heat pressed to the sore neck and shoulder muscles, too. I've been using the wrap daily since I got it, and I feel like it's helping a lot. I've only had it about a week, but I have not had a serious headache during that time--and that's immediately following a couple of weeks in which the headaches were really bad. I also wanted to note that I was apprehensive about the fact that it was scented, but it's turned out to actually be quite pleasant. My husband is very scent-averse and even he doesn't mind it.

After reading all the great reviews, I was so excited to receive the product, but it, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations. I wanted a wrap that would cover both my shoulders and cervical spine, but you cannot really wrap it around your neck because there's nothing to attach it or keep it in place. Pros: 1. covers a large upper back area 2. smells great 3. really soft to the touch Cons: 1. does not stay in place. Might work well if you lay on your stomach or relax in your couch without moving, but I wanted to use it while I worked on my computer and I cannot do that. 2. The sides of the neck cover are not filled evenly or with enough beads 3. Does not heat up evenly, so you may end up with a burning upper back and a neck barely warm To conclude: if you're only looking for something to help relieve your upper back, this might do the trick, but if, like me, you need something for both neck and back, you might need to purchase a cervical hot pack as well.

It is big. Make sure it will fit into your microwave. My microwave was to small. Never got to try it
