Neogen 000550 Rodent Bait Station, Black

This was recommended on a YouTube video while searching how to rid rats/mice in our attic. I hate the thought of killing anything but the rats were out of hand and its dangerous. Snap traps were not working; they stole the food on them! Smart little critters! After several months of use, we have heard zero critters. It is now springtime, and I think they are gone. Great price for something that is easy to use and has been effective!

Very happy with this purchase. It’s made well and has two key locks at the top to keep it safe from children and pets. I’d still plan place it in areas where they can’t get to it anyway. Large in size holds a very good amount of poisons so it will last a while in the attic or craw space

We purchased a set of three mousetraps after our exterminator recommended adding a few to our setup. Their professional-grade traps were a bit pricey, so we searched on Amazon and found these at a great price. We placed them in key areas as advised, and since then, we haven’t had any rodent issues at all. We live in an area with lots of squirrels and other small animals, but the design of these traps is smart—the bait compartment is only accessible through small openings that are just the right size for rats, making it safer around other wildlife. Overall, this was a great purchase. If you're dealing with rodents and want an effective, budget-friendly solution, these traps are a solid option.

10/10!!! I had the smaller, one entry bait traps outside for a known rat issue. You could tell they were nibbling on the poison, but I had those out there 2 weeks and didn’t really see much activity in them. I put 2 of these traps out and the first night, all of the poison was eaten (I put 3 bars in each one). Those little buggers only left crumbs. I guess the two entry/exit holes really does make them feel comfortable. Only downside is that they don’t anchor in the ground, so the traps are all over the yard the next day, but who cares - they ate it!

I liked that this holds 4 baits, the plastic is a fairly good quality. The issues which may make me return it are the spikes that hold the bait are plastic, these will break or the rats will eat them, also the spikes are not metal but thin plastic that tapers at the base, when you push the bait on them half of the time the bait splits into pieces thus making it super unsafe. The other issue is you are supposed to keep track of two tiny plastic keys to open the box up, thats just a plastic key waiting to get lost. Wouldn't order again, mainly because the bait spikes aren't metal and they split the bait.

These bait traps are very lightweight. I found them in different places around the yard suspecting it may have been a raccoon that carried them off. I managed to weight them down but it is nuisance to try to replace the bait. In addition the rods holding the bait did not hold up.

Does its intended purpose. I’m very nervous using rat poison because I have three dogs but when my husband told me he saw a big rat run into the shed I knew it was time to do something. My dogs never get into the shed but I couldn’t risk that 1% chance if I forget the door open or whatever. So I bought this in case they somehow get in the shed as a safety precaution. It is very secure and you can’t get it open without the keys which have to be turned with a good bit of force. The spikes keep the poison on place so if my dogs get to it they shouldn’t be able to access the poison. Of course never let kids or pets have access to the unit it’s never worth the risk but this has really helped me feel safer about our pest management. And yes the rats have been nibbling the bait and I haven’t seen any more.

This will fix the pests in garage and the dog, and granddaughter will be safe
