Great product, but customer returned contaminated parts. Suggest you find alternate supplier
The product by John Guest is fantastic, deserving five stars. BUT -- someone returned some of these connectors after using them for a strong-smelling oil, maybe car deodorizer. Could not get the stuff washed off my hands after opening the first package. Planned to use this on a drinking water line, but not with this contamination. Got a free replacement with the same problem. Giving up and buying elsewhere. In the attached photo, note the smeared printing on the package. The oil dissolved the package label. Nasty stuff.

Great for Bosch 800 Fridge Water Line
After a lot of research, several calls to the useless Bosch customer support/Parts line who had no clue what I was talking about without a technician coming out to the home, I found this piece to replace the leaky water fitting adapter on my Bosch 800 refrigerator. Most fridges at 1/4 to 1/4, but not Bosch. They provide an adapter, but when it went bad.. I needed a replacement. The 5/16" to 1/4" fit the bill, and for 4 ish dollars, this product saved me a lot of money. Seems nice and secure, and water tight. Been on for about a week now. Will update in the future, if any are needed (I hope not ha) Good product, great price, saved a big headache.

Excellent option never thought this could be a solution. So easy to install, I spend a few days monitoring for a leak and nothing. I would recommend this for sure
